Jamie Campbell Bower Makes Cameo in ‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow’

Jamie Campbell Bower, known for playing Henry Creel/Vecna in the popular Netflix series Stranger Things, surprised audiences at a sold-out performance of the Stranger Things Broadway play, The First Shadow, on Friday, December 19th. He made a special appearance, returning to his role in the play’s final scene – a prequel to the events of the five-season show. The audience at New York’s Marquis Theatre was thrilled and gave him a huge ovation, clearly not expecting to see him on stage.

As reported by Deadline, actor Sam Bower stepped in to finish a performance of The First Shadow after Louis McCartney, who plays Henry Creel, had to leave the show unexpectedly. Bower took over during a key scene where Henry Creel encounters Eleven in the Rainbow Room at Hawkins Laboratory, overseen by Dr. Brenner. The Stranger Things actor was clearly touched by the audience’s enthusiastic response during the final curtain call. He joined the rest of the cast onstage, where McCartney gave a moving speech praising Bower’s performance, calling him a standout in The First Shadow.

It’s a true honor to have him here with us tonight, sharing this special moment on the Marquis stage. Thank you so much for being here – you’ve been a constant inspiration and support to me and the show for years. He’s the driving force behind The First Shadow; honestly, none of this would be possible without his incredible talent, dedication, and love. We truly appreciate everything he’s given to this production over the years.

More to come…
