Jack Quaid Names The Most Unbelievable Scene In The Boys

As the last season of the show nears, both fans and the actors are reminiscing about the most memorable scenes. Jack Quaid has shared that one moment from the popular Amazon Prime Video series stands out to him personally.

The moment that has always stayed with me, even though it happened early on, is when Robin died. I consider it a really significant scene, both for the character’s journey and for the show as a whole.

One of the most devastating scenes in the show is when we first meet Quaid and learn why he joins the team fighting superpowered individuals. A-Train, fueled by the drug Compound V, speeds through Hughie’s girlfriend, Robin, killing her instantly. All that remains in Hughie’s hands are her dismembered hands – a truly shocking and pivotal moment.

The scene effectively introduced viewers to the tone and style of Eric Kripke’s popular TV series, which is based on the comic book by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. It was also a useful way for Karl Urban to explain the show’s concept to people before it first aired in 2019.

I struggled to explain the show at first. I’d try to say it was about superheroes, but they weren’t the typical heroes – they were flawed and even bad people. And I wasn’t a superhero myself, but a good… well, it was a difficult concept to get across! My initial pitches weren’t very effective. But when I described a scene where a super-fast hero accidentally runs into someone, people immediately understood the show’s dark tone and what we were trying to achieve. That one scene really conveyed the entire premise right away.

He also mentioned filming the scene very early in his time on The Boys – only his second day, in fact. Because of that, the experience stuck with him and he remembers it vividly.

What To Expect In The Boys Season 5

Hughie Campbell has changed a lot since his friend Robin died, motivating him to fight against Homelander and the other flawed heroes in The Seven. It looks like the battle will come to a head in Season 5 of The Boys.

Homelander is after Compound V-One, the very first and strongest version of the formula that gives people superpowers. If he obtains it, this incredibly dangerous villain would become immortal, directly undermining The Boys’ main objective.

I’m so hyped for the next season of The Boys! It looks like Billy Butcher – Karl Urban, of course – is back with the team after everything that happened, and he’s even got some new powers thanks to Compound V! Apparently, he beat his illness and can now… well, let’s just say things are coming out of his chest! A-Train (Reggie Franklin) is officially fighting with the good guys now too, which is awesome. And get this – some of the survivors from Gen V, like Marie Moreau played by Jaz Sinclair, are joining the fight as well! It’s going to be epic!

Fans are particularly excited about the return of Jensen Ackles. He’s reprising his role as Soldier Boy, a character he previously played alongside his former Supernatural co-star, Jared Padalecki, who will also appear in an unconfirmed role. Misha Collins, another star from Supernatural, is also joining the cast.

The Boys Season 5 premieres on Amazon Prime Video on April 8, 2026
