I’ve Been Wondering Why Taylor Swift Hasn’t Been Seen As Much At Chiefs Games, And There’s Reportedly A Big Reason

Taylor Swift’s relationship with Travis Kelce has significantly impacted the NFL. With one of the world’s biggest stars regularly attending games, her presence drew in new fans – especially her devoted followers, known as Swifties – who quickly became interested in football. It also created a fun bonding experience for many families. Recently, however, Swift hasn’t been seen at as many games, and the reason behind her quieter presence is now coming to light.

Taylor Swift Has Been Having Issues With An Alleged Stalker

Taylor Swift has reportedly experienced some security concerns lately. This might be why she’s been using screens to block photographers when arriving at Arrowhead Stadium, similar to how she used umbrellas to shield herself at Selena Gomez’s wedding. The Daily Mail has more details.

Taylor has been prioritizing her safety and security this year, particularly due to ongoing stalking concerns.

Taylor Swift received a five-year restraining order against Brian Jason Wagner, 45, in September. He had allegedly visited her home several times this year, falsely claiming to be the father of her child.

That definitely sounds frightening, and it’s understandable why the artist behind The Life of a Showgirl would want to be extra careful. The person we were talking to then said:

She values her privacy and doesn’t want people constantly tracking her location. Her main concern is the safety of herself and her loved ones.

According to TMZ, the singer was worried not only about Brian Jason Wagner repeatedly visiting her home, but also because he allegedly changed the address on his driver’s license to her address. Court documents show he then attempted to have his mail delivered there. He also reportedly sent her numerous digital messages containing threats.

For the next five years, the court has ordered this individual to stay at least 100 yards away from Taylor Swift, her home in Los Angeles, and her vehicle. He is also prohibited from contacting her in any way – whether in person, by mail, or online. Additionally, he is not allowed to possess firearms, ammunition, or body armor.

Disney+ is the place to watch all things Taylor Swift, including her new documentary series. You can subscribe for as little as $11.99 per month with ads. For an ad-free experience, it’s $18.99 monthly, or you can save 16% by paying $189.99 for the year. See the deal here.

Taylor Swift Can Still Be Seen At Chiefs Games

Even though all of this seems concerning, there might be another reason we haven’t seen Taylor Swift on TV as much during Kansas City Chiefs games. We know she’s been with the Kelce family, even hugging Travis’s dad, but the cameras haven’t been showing her reactions to the game as often as they used to.

This likely isn’t about the jokes regarding Travis Kelce’s family or concerns about security, but instead about the Kansas City Chiefs’ rocky beginning to the season. According to a report from the Daily Mail, Taylor Swift hasn’t requested that the NFL or TV networks limit coverage of her, stating:

Initially, Taylor Swift kept a lower profile, and Travis Kelce had a slow start to the season, which allowed viewers to focus on her and her reactions. However, after Travis’s strong performance in Monday’s game and her appearance with Brittany Mahomes, how much we see of Taylor will likely depend on how well Travis plays in future games.

As both a Taylor Swift fan and a football follower – and there are plenty of us who enjoy both! – I’ve noticed she hasn’t been shown on camera at games as much lately, compared to when she and Travis Kelce first started dating. But her safety is the most important thing, and I’m happy she’s prioritizing whatever measures she needs to feel secure.

Taylor Swift fans have something to look forward to! In addition to the final concert from her hugely popular Eras Tour, she’s releasing a six-part documentary series on Disney+ on December 12, 2025. The series will include footage from the Tortured Poets Department portion of the tour, so get ready to subscribe!
