She recently discussed with TopMob the unique experience of promoting such different films so close together.
Reviews for *The Strangers Chapter 2* were varied, but many viewers agree that Madison Petsch is establishing herself as a leading horror actress. Just a week and a half after its release, she’s already promoting her new romantic comedy, *Maintenance Required*, which is currently available on Amazon. In the video above, I spoke with the 31-year-old actress and producer about the experience of having such different films released so close together. Here’s what she had to say:
Sometimes, it really hits me how different this movie is from my previous work. This morning, arriving at the Amazon studio, I had to remind myself that it’s a romantic comedy, not a thriller! It was a bit of a shift thinking about a love interest who’s actually alive – his name is Beau – especially since we’d just finished promoting the film and I was still in ‘thriller’ mode.
It’s quite a shift in roles for Madison Petsch! She’s been working on two very different projects – a lighthearted romantic comedy inspired by *You’ve Got Mail*, and a horror film where she’s fighting for her life against masked attackers. It’s understandable she needs time to mentally switch gears when promoting both of them.

It’s such a great feeling as an actor to be able to showcase range like that. I’m really happy people can see such different sides of my work – they can go from seeing me in ‘Strangers 2’ to ‘Maintenance Required’ and recognize how different the characters are.
