Good news for fans of Bridgerton! Season 4 of the popular romance drama is coming to Netflix in early 2026. This season will focus on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha), and, like previous seasons, it’s expected to be full of passion and memorable moments – including a new, steamy carriage scene! The show is produced by Shonda Rhimes.
The latest season of Bridgerton focused on the romance between Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), and included a particularly memorable scene – a passionate carriage ride leading to their engagement. While it’s hard to imagine a scene topping that one, showrunner Jess Brownell hinted to TVLine that fans might see “Polin” in another carriage scene sometime in the future.
You’ll have to be patient, but let me warn you: if things start to get chaotic with the Featherington family, stay away.
It’s hard to imagine how the show can surpass the emotional high point of Season 3 – Colin finally confessing his feelings for Penelope. However, it sounds like Colin and Penelope will have plenty of exciting things happening in the future. We might even see the Featherington family grow with another baby by the time the next season arrives! You can relive the unforgettable carriage scene from Season 3 below.
Let’s be real, no season of Bridgerton is complete without the main couple getting most of the heat! And I’m pretty confident we’ll see some sparks fly between Benedict and Sophie too. Honestly, Benedict’s storyline felt the most straightforward to adapt, so I’m expecting plenty of scenes featuring them at iconic locations like My Cottage and, of course, Bridgerton House. Get ready for some romance!
Considering how good the show has been so far, I’m sure the new season will be worth the wait. Fans have been anticipating it since the third season came out around summer 2024. It’s been a long wait with breaks between seasons and the season being split into parts, which makes it tough to stay enthusiastic. However, An Offer From a Gentleman is one of my favorite books in the Bridgerton series, so I’m really looking forward to seeing it adapted for the screen. Plus, I’m especially excited to hear there will be another carriage scene!
Leaving the carriage mishap aside, the new season of Bridgerton promises plenty to enjoy, and it’s being released in two parts. The first four episodes will be available starting January 29th, and the final four episodes will follow on February 26th. While I’m a little bummed the season is being split, I’ll definitely still be watching – I can’t resist a good romance!
