It’s obvious that Zooey Deschanel and her fiancé, Jonathan Scott of Property Brothers, really enjoy each other’s company. Over the past six years, we’ve watched them celebrate holidays, share casual moments, and attend events together – they first met in a charming way on Carpool Karaoke with their siblings! Recently, Jonathan shared photos of their Halloween costumes, and while I wasn’t expecting to see Zooey dressed as Catwoman, it’s a look I now desperately want to see in a movie!
What Did Jonathan Scott Show Of Zooey Deschanel As Catwoman?
Many adults still enjoy dressing up in costumes for Halloween, and Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott are definitely among them. The actress known for 500 Days of Summer and her HGTV star fiancé (who got engaged in 2023) seem to make it an annual tradition. Jonathan, one half of the famous Canadian home renovation twins, recently went to Instagram to ask his followers for costume ideas.

A popular actor, who’s confirmed he won’t be having a televised wedding with his fiancée from New Girl, recently asked his followers whether couples prefer to coordinate their Halloween costumes. While that’s a fun question for Halloween fans, many are more focused on how great his Elf co-star looks dressed as Catwoman! It’s surprising to say, but she might actually be a fantastic Catwoman!
Over the years, many talented actresses – including Eartha Kitt, Julie Newmar, Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway, and Zoë Kravitz (who will reprise the role in The Batman: Part II) – have played the DC character Catwoman, known for her playful rivalry with Batman. But wouldn’t it be interesting to see an actress typically known for more realistic or grounded roles take on the part in a new movie or show?
Zooey Deschanel has proven she can play intelligent, complex characters, like Summer Finn, and she’s also shown a talent for quirky, dry humor in other roles. She could bring those qualities to a character like Catwoman, making her less intimidating and more subtly playful – a Catwoman who’s charming and clever rather than just fierce. Wouldn’t that be a refreshing take?
Even if she doesn’t reprise her role as Catwoman, it seems she enjoyed wearing the costume for a while.
