Although August’s heat may persist outside, my excitement for the upcoming behind-the-scenes glimpse of Chicago Med Season 11 is palpable. I can hardly wait for the weather to turn cooler and for the emergency responders of NBC’s One Chicago universe to reappear in the 2025 television lineup. The video offers a sneak peek at Jessy Schram and Marie Tredway resuming their roles on set, as well as an intriguing blend of two shows from the Wolf Entertainment franchise. Plus, Schram’s costume piques my curiosity about Season 11’s storyline!
Chicago Med Stars Go Full Law And Order
I can confidently assume that the theme tune for “Law & Order” is undoubtedly one of the most iconic instrumental pieces in network TV history. It’s not only because different versions of it have been used for shows like “Law & Order: SVU”, “Law & Order: Organized Crime”, and other spin-offs, but also because it’s incredibly catchy and someone even penned lyrics for it. Current cast member Reid Scott found the lyrics particularly amusing.
It’s quite appropriate that during breaks between scenes, actresses Jessy Schram (as Dr. Hannah Asher) and Marie Tredway (as Nurse Trini Campos) utilized the time by dancing to the song, even adding some choreography. Here’s a peek:

The video is filled with numerous delightful aspects, such as the intricate dance moves and the actors maintaining deadpan expressions until the finale. What truly captivated me was their synchronized performance of strumming invisible guitars. I must concur with the Law & Order Instagram account’s enthusiastic comment, “LEGENDARY 👏”.
It’s clear that I’m not alone among Chicago Med fans in observing an unusual detail: Marie Tredway, the ED Nurse, is wearing her typical scrubs as usual, but Hannah is sporting a green ensemble, which isn’t her standard attire. Furthermore, there are other aspects of Hannah’s costume during the start of Season 11 that seem to raise puzzling questions.
What’s Up With Hannah’s Scrubs?
Over time, Hannah has been spotted in outfits other than scrubs on occasion, such as when Jessy Schram and Luke Mitchell dressed up as Barbie and Ken as Hannah and Ripley during Season 10. However, it appears that the green scrubs are a recent addition for Hannah Asher on Chicago Med, at least based on my memory.
In simpler terms, the shift in scrub color during Season 11 suggests a change in Hannah’s work environment or department after the summer break. It appears that she might have moved hospitals or changed departments, as indicated by her wearing green scrubs instead of the usual ones. However, it seems unlikely that she would have switched specialties to something other than returning to Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB), since OB staff didn’t wear green in Seasons 1-10 at Gaffney.
Is it possible that Jessy Schram is wearing costumes to shoot a flashback scene for Hannah while she was away from Gaffney? This scenario seems plausible, as the show could easily modify one of its standard sets to resemble a completely different hospital room. However, the outfit appears to closely resemble the typical maroon scrubs from Gaffney (as shown below). Although the video quality is poor and it’s flipped backwards, it’s difficult to say for certain.

It’s plausible that the change in hospital policy during the break has caused the emergency department (ED) scrub color to shift from maroon to green. However, it seems unusual given the traditional association of doctors with maroon scrubs. Moreover, there appears to be another factor indicating a more complex reason behind the situation, as it’s not merely about Gaffney changing his attire style.
The final episode of Season 10, which aired in May and left many viewers emotional, ended with an unexpected twist – Hannah revealing to Archer that she’s pregnant. While fans were already aware of her pregnancy, they didn’t anticipate the show suggesting the possibility that Ripley might not be the father. This revelation was certainly not insignificant!
It’s significant now since it’s evident from the blend of Chicago Med and Law & Order that Jessy Schram is not wearing a fake pregnancy belly and her shirt does not have an opening to imply maternity scrubs. Typically, the three One Chicago shows take about four-month time jumps between seasons to stay current. Given that Hannah found out she was pregnant near the end of Season 10, she would likely be showing by the start of Season 11 if this timeline is followed.
This scene could be set before the time jump, or it might even be a flashback, or perhaps it’s focused on Jessy Scram while deliberately avoiding showing Hannah in full profile. There’s also the possibility that green scrubs will play a role somehow, but at this point there are many unanswered questions, and we may need to wait until closer to the premiere for more information.
On Wednesday, October 1st at 8:00 PM Eastern Time, NBC will air the premiere of season 11 for the medical drama “Chicago Med”. Following this, at 9:00 PM ET, you can catch season 14 of “Chicago Fire”, and at 10:00 PM ET, season 13 of “Chicago P.D.”. If you want to watch new episodes on-demand, you can subscribe to Peacock.
