Hunter Doohan shares insights on speculations that his partner might feel jealous towards Jenna Ortega. The buzz around these rumors arose due to his non-attendance at the Wednesday Season 2 premiere held in London.
Here’s what the actor said about the rumors and why he was absent.
Hunter Doohan on rumors of his Husband Being Jealous of Jenna Ortega
In the Netflix series ‘Wednesday’, Hunter Doohan portrays Tyler Galpin, a character who romantically pursues Jenna Ortega’s character Wednesday Addams initially. However, things take an unexpected turn as Tyler eventually emerges as a danger to Wednesday.
On Wednesday in July during Season 2’s premiere in London, Doohan was unable to attend. Speculations arose suggesting that his husband, Fielder Jewett, had prevented him from going due to jealousy towards Jenna Ortega. Recently, on the podcast I’ve Never Said This Before With Tommy DiDario, the actor chose to address and clarify these rumors and his feelings about them.
In simpler terms, Doohan shared that he’s been grappling with the extent of his personal life he wants to reveal in public. He also set the record straight regarding certain rumors, stating categorically that Jenna didn’t prevent him from going out, and the claim about his husband being jealous of Jenna was absolutely false. He expressed exasperation, saying something along the lines of “Come on now, can we please not make up such ridiculous stories?
Additionally, he explained his absence at the premiere. “I had to attend an event in Sydney for part 2, unfortunately, I couldn’t make it to the London premiere,” he said. “At that time, I was busy shooting a movie here in New Zealand, and I posted about it on social media expressing my regret that I couldn’t be there.” Doohan revealed this information.
Contrary to the whispers regarding his private life and colleagues, the performer disclosed that things were not as grim as they seemed.
He expressed that his interactions with Wednesday’s fans in person have always been wonderful, while online interactions are generally positive. However, he clarified that it isn’t the show’s fans who have been spreading false rumors about him, Jenna, Emma [Myers], and other cast members’ personal lives on TikTok. The videos in question are odd, and the information they present is completely untrue.
