Andy Samberg’s Hotel Transylvania 5 update isn’t very exciting

Andy Samberg recently shared some discouraging news about another Hotel Transylvania movie. He says there are currently no firm plans to make a fifth film, following comments from Keegan-Michael Key that got people wondering if the series would continue.

While promoting his upcoming Hellmann’s and Best Foods Super Bowl ad with ScreenRant, Andy Samberg talked about the possibility of another Hotel Transylvania movie. He admitted he’s only heard casual conversations about a sequel – just “rumblings” – and doesn’t have any official information. However, he hinted that there might be something happening with the franchise, saying there’s potential for more, and they’ll see if it develops further.

Samberg praised the team who created the series, especially Adam Sandler, Robert Smigel, and director Genndy Tartakovsky, for making the films so successful. He said he felt fortunate to have been involved. He also pointed out that the series still appeals to new, younger audiences, with interest often increasing around Halloween.

When asked about what’s next for his character, Samberg joked that he’d love to see as much focus on backpacks as possible for Johnnystein. He’s been involved with the series since it began in 2012, providing the voice for Johnny Loughran – a human who stumbles upon a high-end hotel built for monsters and managed by Count Dracula, voiced by Sandler.
