Recently released photos from the set of the Highlander reboot show Henry Cavill filming scenes with Jeremy Irons, his former co-star from Justice League. The pictures, taken at the Tower of London, offer a first glimpse of the production as the highly anticipated remake continues to be filmed.

Filming is now happening for the new Highlander movie directed by Chad Stahelski, and recent photos from London give fans their first good look at Henry Cavill in action. The production team has been filming large action sequences at the Tower of London, and Jeremy Irons was also spotted on set with Cavill during a busy day of shooting.

Henry Cavill, who had previously shared a sneak peek, was spotted in a leather outfit reminiscent of the one Christopher Lambert wore in the 1986 film. Jeremy Irons, meanwhile, was seen sporting a dark trench coat and a well-groomed beard.

The photos and video show a challenging stunt. Someone – likely Henry Cavill or his stunt performer – was seen falling off a motorcycle while safely secured by cables under a car.

Chad Stahelski is directing a new version of the film, with a cast including Russell Crowe, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, and Dave Bautista. Henry Cavill will play the lead role of Connor MacLeod, and Dave Bautista will play the villain, Kurgan.

While not officially confirmed, a rumored plot summary comes from industry insider Daniel Richtman. It suggests that Connor MacLeod, an immortal warrior who first died centuries ago in Scotland, is living a peaceful life but is troubled by past losses and the ongoing conflict between immortals. When the dangerous Kurgan returns, supported by a shadowy group seeking the key to immortality, Connor is pulled back into the Game – an age-old battle where only one immortal can remain (as reported by SF Gazette).
