HBO Max is offering a special feature to get fans ready for the third season of House of the Dragon. 2026 promises to be a huge year for Game of Thrones content, starting with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which will give viewers a taste of the adventures of Dunk and Egg, based on George R.R. Martin’s stories. Then, this summer, House of the Dragon Season 3 will continue the show’s pattern of releasing a new season every other year.
HBO Max has introduced a new channels feature, offering subscribers curated content from popular franchises. For example, the ‘World of Westeros’ channel lets viewers watch a vast collection of stories from the world of Game of Thrones before new installments are released.
The studio plans to release new content related to Game of Thrones through 2028, including additional seasons of existing shows and other upcoming projects. HBO’s new streaming service will offer fans a chance to revisit the entire story, featuring Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, while also building excitement for what’s to come.
HBO Max is adding dedicated channels for popular franchises like DC, the worlds of Middle-Earth, The Big Bang Theory, Harry Potter, The Sopranos, and many other favorites.
Why House of the Dragon Season 3 Could Be Its Best Yet

Following the success of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, there’s already a lot of excitement building for Season 3 of House of the Dragon. The new season is expected to be much larger in scope, covering four important storylines from the Fire & Blood book. It will also set the stage for the show’s epic conclusion, which is planned for a fourth and final season in 2028.
The third season of House of the Dragon is set to be an improvement over the previous ones, with promises of more action. This comes after some viewers felt Season 2 didn’t have enough major events.
HBO hasn’t announced a specific release date for Season 3 of House of the Dragon, only that it will premiere sometime in June 2026. However, since the release of the DCU series Lanterns has been pushed to late summer, House of the Dragon might actually launch earlier in June to avoid having both major HBO shows airing at the same time each week.
