As a big fan of animated superhero shows, I’m thrilled to hear that Batwheels is continuing its run! This show, which started in Fall 2022 on HBO Max, quickly became a hit with its focus on the young vehicles who team up with Batman, Robin, and Batgirl to keep Gotham safe. It’s amazing to me that they’ve already created 78 episodes! HBO Max is releasing the second half of Season 3 – Season 3B – on February 6, 2026, and I can’t wait to see what adventures these little heroes get up to next. It’s quickly become one of my go-to shows on the platform.
Season 3B follows Bam, Redbird, Bibi, Batwing, and Buff as they go on exciting missions, learning to work together and solve problems along the way. The show is a fun introduction to the world of Batman for young audiences, combining classic superhero themes with stories that are just right for their age, all brought to life with bright characters and playful adventures.
More episodes of Season 3 are coming in February, following the first four that launched on HBO Max on December 5, 2025. This split release—common for kids’ shows—keeps viewers interested over a longer time. Season 3B will continue the stories that began with the first episodes.
Batwheels boasts voice actors from many other DC shows and movies, and it’s one of the first superhero series made just for preschoolers. Instead of focusing on the superheroes, the show centers on their cool vehicles, making it a great way to introduce young children to the world of Batman without the more complicated or scary parts of traditional Batman stories.
Other Sci-Fi & Action Shows Coming to HBO Max in February

Although Batwheels is the only brand-new DC show coming in February, HBO Max has a diverse lineup of movies and series. Starting February 1st, you can watch Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood, starring Russell Crowe, which offers a realistic and intense portrayal of the classic hero. This version of the story focuses on medieval battles and political schemes, presenting a more serious take on the Robin Hood legend.
Guillermo del Toro’s acclaimed film, The Shape of Water, which won four Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director, becomes available February 1st. This visually beautiful and unique romantic fantasy, set during the Cold War, tells the story of a mute woman who finds love with an amphibious creature and is considered one of the most striking films of the 2010s.
I’m so excited! If you’re a classic movie fan like me, you’ll want to know that Lone Star, the Clark Gable film from 1952, is becoming available to stream on February 1st. It’s a really cool story about the Texas fight for independence, and it’s got everything – adventure, a little romance, and a lot of action. It follows Gable’s character as he deals with all the political drama and personal stuff happening right after the Alamo. Definitely checking this one out!
As a documentary fan, I was immediately drawn to 2073, which just dropped. Director Asif Kapadia delivers a thought-provoking, if unsettling, film that speculates on a potential dystopian future. It’s not just science fiction, though; 2073 feels like a stark warning, built on the environmental and political issues we’re facing right now, about the path we’re on as a species.
Get ready for some laughs with MacGruber, available February 1st in both rated and unrated cuts. While the 2010 movie, a spin-off from Saturday Night Live! starring Will Forte, didn’t do well in theaters, it became a fan favorite on DVD and streaming, leading to a series on Peacock in 2021. This silly action-comedy spoofs 1980s action stars – especially MacGyver – with intentionally over-the-top scenes and performances.
The classic western film Westbound is one of the highlights coming to the platform on February 1st. Released in 1959 and starring Randolph Scott, the movie tells the story of a Union officer trying to create a stagecoach route during the Civil War, while dealing with those who support the Confederacy and dangerous landscapes.
HBO Max Offers More Premium Content in February
In February, HBO Max will offer more than just its usual library of titles. New international series Madam Beja arrives on February 2, and true crime enthusiasts can watch Murder In Glitterball City starting February 19. February 20 will see the premiere of several HBO Originals, including the financial thriller Banksters, the crime documentary Fit for a Killer, the drama Portobello, and the investigative documentary Surviving the Jehovah’s Witnesses. John Oliver returns with Season 13 of Last Week Tonight on February 15, and Season 2 of the romantic drama Like Water for Chocolate, based on Laura Esquivel’s popular novel, will also be available.
Throughout February, the platform offers a mix of critically acclaimed films and family-friendly entertainment. Younger viewers can enjoy Dreamworks’ Ferdinand and Universal’s Hop on February 1, while Ang Lee’s Life of Pi provides a visually stunning experience for everyone. Award-winning dramas like Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and The Notebook are also available, and the month wraps up on February 27 with the popular family sequel Paddington 2.
February brings back several popular reality shows, including more seasons of the 90 Day Fiancé family, HGTV’s House Hunters, and Discovery’s Naked and Afraid. If you’re looking for something different during the Super Bowl, Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl XXII will air on February 8th.
