Hayden Christensen Reveals Favorite Star Wars Movies, and It’s Not the Prequels

Hayden Christensen is well-known for playing Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader in the Star Wars prequels. However, his personal favorites in the Star Wars saga aren’t those films – he prefers the movies from an earlier time.

What are Hayden Christensen’s favorite Star Wars movies?

At Fan Expo Chicago, Hayden Christensen said which Star Wars films are his favorites. He chose one movie from the original trilogy and another from the films released in the 2010s.

Christensen, a longtime fan of The Empire Strikes Back, also praised Rogue One, saying it perfectly embodied the spirit of Star Wars.

Christensen cited the depiction of Darth Vader as the main reason for his praise of Rogue One.

Christensen also praised the depiction of Darth Vader in the movie. He emphasized that many actors have played the role over the years, and he was happy to be a part of that legacy, appreciating the work done on the character.

Hayden Christensen first played Anakin Skywalker in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. He took over the role from Jake Lloyd, who had previously played a younger Anakin in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. Christensen continued as Anakin in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

It was amazing to see Hayden Christensen back as Darth Vader after all these years! The Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney+ brought him back, and the final episode was incredible – a real showdown between Vader and Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan. While it was tough to watch, Obi-Wan ultimately managed to overcome his former apprentice.

Following his role in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, Hayden Christensen reprised his part as Anakin Skywalker in the Disney+ show Ahsoka. The series featured a confrontation between Anakin and his former Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson. Christensen is set to return for the second season of Ahsoka, though a release date hasn’t been announced yet.
