Wondering if Marvel Zombies will be back for a second season? This anime series takes place in a different universe, similar to the What If…? stories. It depicts a zombie outbreak that infects most people – even the Avengers – and follows the remaining survivors as they fight to save the world. With the show about to launch, viewers are eager to know if it will continue beyond the first season.
Here is everything you need to know about the potential next chapter of the adult animated series.
Has Disney+ renewed Marvel Zombies for Season 2 or canceled it?
As of now, Disney+ has neither renewed nor canceled Marvel Zombies for Season 2.
The first season of the show will debut on September 24, 2025, with four episodes. Fans are already wondering if there will be more seasons, but a second season hasn’t been announced yet. Disney+ hasn’t canceled the show, and whether or not it continues likely depends on how many people watch it. If the show gets good viewership, a second season is probable.
I was so excited to hear Brad Winderbaum, the head of Marvel Television, talk about the possibility of more *Marvel Zombies*! In a recent Nerdist interview, he was asked about characters who might be better suited for animation, and he definitely seemed to suggest we haven’t seen the last of that series. He said they’re eager to explore more characters, and that the original story for *Marvel Zombies* was actually much bigger than what we saw – they just didn’t have space for everyone! It sounds like there’s a lot more story to tell, and I’m really hoping they get the chance to do it.
Winderbaum shared his excitement about the possibility of seeing these characters return in the next season. He playfully avoided sharing any further details, saying he wants viewers to be surprised. “The best way to find out is to subscribe to Disney+” he quipped. He encouraged fans to request another season, adding, “That’s how we’ll get to work on it and give you even more surprises!”
The voice cast of Marvel Zombies includes stars like Iman Vellani, Dominique Thorne, Hailee Steinfeld, and Kerry Condon.
