AMP Comics is starting a Kickstarter campaign to fund a new comic book series inspired by The Greatest American Hero, celebrating the 45th anniversary of the original TV show. The Kickstarter page highlights a special deluxe graphic novel edition, along with signed items from William Katt, exclusive clothing, and other rewards.
As with most crowdfunding projects, people who contribute to this campaign will receive special rewards. These include an exclusive hardcover graphic novel, T-shirts, belt buckles, and other cool items. Plus, some rare items will be signed by William Katt, the star of the original TV show, who even appears in a video announcing the Kickstarter launch.
What To Know About The Greatest American Hero’s 45th Anniversary Graphic Novel
AMP Comics has shared details about their upcoming project on Kickstarter: a brand new graphic novel based on the popular 1980s TV series. This 120-page+ book will continue the adventures of Ralph Hinkley (played by William Katt), the everyday teacher who transforms into a superhero with the help of his amazing suit. The creators are hoping to fund a deluxe edition through the Kickstarter campaign.
Following that, they gave a short overview of AMP Comics, introducing themselves to fans worldwide. AMP Comics is an independent entertainment company and publisher creating original and licensed comic books, as well as content for film and television. Their collection includes popular titles like The Greatest American Hero, House of Lowther, NeverWars, and Prodigal Son, which are distributed through Simon & Schuster, Diamond, Universal, and Lunar Distribution via Massive Indies. AMP Comics also runs the Script2Comic Contest and is growing internationally, with plans to release Kyojin in partnership with Kodansha Japan in 2027.
