Many millennials likely picture the show Friends when they think of Thanksgiving TV episodes. However, even though Friends had ten holiday-themed episodes, another popular show from the 2000s actually offered more consistently good Thanksgiving content. While Friends has a lot of options to choose from when picking its best Thanksgiving episode, it wasn’t the only series to celebrate the holiday.

As a big TV fan, I’ve noticed almost every show from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s seemed to have a Thanksgiving episode. If they were all having a potluck, Friends would definitely be there – and probably causing some hilarious drama! That show really nailed how holidays can be wonderfully messy when you throw family into the mix.

I’ve always liked the Thanksgiving episodes of Friends, but when I think about how TV characters celebrate the holiday, I prefer other shows. Thanksgiving is usually a cozy time for family and gratitude, but on television, it’s the funny, messy moments that really shine. And one show, in particular, nails that chaotic energy better than any other.
