Spoilers for Gen V Season 2.

Who dies in Gen V Season 2 Episodes 1, 2, and 3?

The second season of Gen V launched on Amazon Prime on September 17, 2025, with the release of its first three episodes. The new season picks up where Season 1 left off, after Vought took Marie Moreau and her group into custody.

Season 2 focuses on the mystery surrounding The Odessa Project, a secret Vought initiative to create new superheroes. The project attempts to improve Compound V, making it safer while still granting powers. So far, only Marie Moreau and Homelander have successfully been created through it. Vought has now restarted the project, hoping to build a larger team of Supes. Expect plenty of surprising reveals, unexpected twists, and heartbreaking losses throughout the new season.

Here’s a list of all the characters that die in the first three episodes.

Thomas Godolkin

We first see Thomas Godolkin in a flashback at the start of the first episode. He founded Godolkin University and was one of the scientists who perished in the lab. However, unlike the others who died from injecting themselves with Compound V, Godolkin died in the fire that erupted during the resulting confusion.

Andre Anderson

Chance Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson, tragically died in a motorcycle accident in late March 2024. Rather than replace him, the show’s creators decided to write Andre off the show with an off-screen death. The show subtly reveals this when Cate Dunlap reads Jordan Li’s thoughts after inquiring about Andre’s whereabouts.

While the first three episodes showed the deaths of only two characters with established names, five additional scientists died in flashback scenes. All of these deaths were caused by the dangerous side effects of Compound V and were quite violent.
