FX’s 5-Part Crime Thriller Series Becomes A Global Streaming Sensation

This FX crime thriller never backs down from a fight.

I’ve been so excited to see how many amazing crime thrillers have come out in the last ten years! It feels like every streaming service is trying to create the next big hit, and honestly, it’s working. We’ve gotten some truly incredible series like Mindhunter, Monster, and Mare of Easttown recently, and it’s not just the streaming shows that are good – plenty of other crime thrillers are finding success too!

Many popular crime thrillers are available on streaming services, and quite a few of them aren’t originally made by those platforms. For example, The Mentalist recently became a hit worldwide on Netflix, except in the United States. Now, a new show on HBO Max is experiencing a similar surge in popularity.

According to FlixPatrol, the TV show Fargo is currently ranking as one of the most popular shows on HBO Max globally, landing at number 10. It’s sharing the top spots with series like The Pitt, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Rooster, DTF St. Louis, and Heated Rivalry. While it’s a hit on HBO Max now, Fargo originally premiered on FX back in April 2014.

The crime drama Fargo is popular on HBO Max, currently appearing in the top trending lists of 13 countries. Although it isn’t the most-watched show anywhere, it’s the second most popular in eight countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, and Slovenia. The United States isn’t among those countries.

You won’t find Fargo on HBO Max’s top charts because it streams exclusively on Hulu in the US. Currently, the most popular shows on HBO Max in the United States include series like The Pitt, Rooster, Neighbors, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Unexpected, and others.

Noah Hawley’s Fargo is a crime series where each season features a new, violent story. It’s inspired by the classic 1996 film by the Coen Brothers and is known for attracting a fantastic cast. Over five seasons, the show has included stars like Jon Hamm, Billy Bob Thornton, Kirsten Dunst, Ewan McGregor, Jessie Buckley, Joe Keery, and numerous other talented actors.

Honestly, I wasn’t surprised to see Fargo doing so well on HBO Max. It’s a show everyone seems to love! The critics clearly agree – it has a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes – and audiences are right there with them at 85%. Now that it’s available on HBO Max in some countries, a whole new group of people are discovering just how great it is, and I’m thrilled!
