Fox Television Network President Michael Torn announced that Memory of a Killer will return for a second season. He praised the show’s powerful performances by Patrick Dempsey and Michael Imperioli, and highlighted the sharp, emotional storytelling delivered by Aaron Zelman, Glenn Kessler, and Warner Bros. Memory of a Killer Was a Hit From the Start

The success of Memory of a Killer was a key factor in its renewal. The drama, which premiered in January, quickly attracted 16.2 million viewers across all platforms. It also marked Fox’s biggest streaming debut in six years, surpassing the launch of 9-1-1: Lone Star in 2020. Viewership continued to grow on streaming, with episodes consistently appearing in Hulu’s daily top 10 and making it Fox’s most-watched streaming series ever.

This thrilling series, inspired by Jef Geeraerts’ novel, features Patrick Dempsey as a seasoned hitman grappling with early-onset Alzheimer’s. As his memory fades and he starts to confuse assignments, maintaining control becomes a dangerous struggle, making him increasingly unpredictable and lethal.

The show features a talented cast including Richard Harmon, known from The Killing, Odeya Rush from Let It Snow, Peter Gadiot of Queen of the South, Daniel David Stewart who starred in Spring Awakening, Michael Imperioli, Michaela McManus (famous for One Tree Hill), Richard Clarkin (The Drawer Boy), and Gina Torres (Firefly).
