According to Deadline, Kathryn Hahn – known for her roles in Agatha All Along and The Studio – is being considered to play the villain in the upcoming live-action Tangled remake. Fans have been hoping for Hahn to take on the role of Mother Gothel ever since the movie was announced, and it seems those wishes might come true. She’s perfectly suited for the part, bringing both comedic talent and strong vocal ability, and she’s proven she can portray complex and compelling villains.
Now that Scarlett Johansson has reportedly decided not to take the part—due to her commitments to The Batman II and a new Exorcist film—Hahn is being considered for the role.
