Even NASA Criticized Kim Kardashian For Not Believing In The Moon Landing. Now, Khloé Takes The Blame

Besides starring in their hit Hulu show, which is currently in its seventh season, the Kardashians often find themselves discussing controversial topics and questioning established beliefs. Surprisingly, two of the sisters now believe the moon landing was faked. After Kim Kardashian faced backlash for expressing this view – despite explanations debunking it – NASA itself is now receiving criticism. In a surprising turn of events, Khloé Kardashian is taking responsibility for leading her sister down this path and causing the uproar with fans and experts.

NASA’s Original Response to Kim Kardashian

A recent episode of The Kardashians surprised viewers when Kim Kardashian revealed she doubts the moon landing actually happened. While talking to Sarah Paulson, her co-star on All’s Fair, Kim casually mentioned her skepticism and promised to share a lot of research with Paulson, referring to both Buzz Aldrin and the other astronaut involved.

Everyone was already talking about it, but things really blew up when NASA actually saw the footage. The acting administrator, Sean Duffy, responded in that wonderfully official way they have. He just straight-up said, “Yes, we’ve been to the Moon before… six times!” It was such a calm, definitive answer, it instantly put all the conspiracy theories to rest.

The conversation was getting really intense, but then Khloé Kardashian arrived and completely shifted the focus.

Why Khloe Says She’s To Blame For Kim K.’s Moon Landing Beliefs

Khloé Kardashian is making headlines after revealing to People magazine that she was the one who initially got Kim interested in the conspiracy theory. She explained to the publication:

I question whether the moon landing actually happened, which is a pretty divisive topic. I also feel awful because I think I upset Kim by bringing it up, and now she’s facing some consequences because of it!

Khloé, now 40, strongly believes the 1969 moon landing was faked. She also claims she and her brother shared a lot of evidence supporting this with Kim. She went on to say:

I really don’t believe it’s true. My brother and I might have unintentionally misled her with information, and I regret that. However, I’m sticking to my position on this, no matter what.

This admission comes after many experts have consistently pointed out the overwhelming evidence proving the Moon landing happened – including data, videos, and documentation spanning decades. However, Khloé doesn’t seem convinced. She also admits this isn’t the only conspiracy theory she believes, but she generally keeps those thoughts private, not wanting to upset others. She went on to explain:

I doubt the government will ever confess the moon landing was a hoax. If they did, it would open up a lot of uncomfortable questions – questions about things that are too disturbing to discuss openly.

Khloé shares what interests her on her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, and plans to do even more of that in the upcoming third season. This year, the show will include more appearances from her family and friends, creating a more relaxed and personal feel.

Not all of her friends are as excited about her beliefs as she is. Her friend, Savas, will be a key part of the show, playing the role of the doubter. He’s a skeptic who questions everything – he doesn’t believe in ghosts or aliens, and she jokingly argues that they’re obviously real!

Okay, so right now, two of the Kardashians still aren’t convinced, but NASA is confidently backing up all six of the Moon landings – and honestly, there’s tons of footage and documentaries about it. Call me naive, but I’m going to side with the scientists and experts on this one, it just makes sense!

New episodes of The Kardashians Season 7 are now available on Hulu every Thursday as part of the 2025 TV season, with a subscription required.
