‘Euphoria’ Season 3 Sets HBO Release Date

It’s been four years since the end of Euphoria Season 2, but HBO has announced when Season 3 will be released. The show, created by Sam Levinson and based on an Israeli series, centers on a group of high school students navigating issues like sex, drugs, and social status.

HBO has confirmed that Season 3 of Euphoria will premiere in April 2026. A new poster featuring Zendaya’s character, Rue, with the tagline “Let’s Ride” has also been released. The main cast, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Hunter Schafer, and Maude Apatow, will all be returning for the new season. You can see the poster below.

Filming for Season 3 of Euphoria faced several challenges. Originally planned to start in December 2023, production was put on hold due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes, and tragically, by the passing of actor Angus Cloud in July 2023. Shooting eventually took place between February and November 2025. Most of the original cast will be back, but Barbie Ferreira, known for her role as Kat Hernandez, and Storm Reid will not be returning to the show.

‘Euphoria’ Lands Emmy Qualifying Premiere Date

As a huge TV fan, I was surprised to hear that HBO is giving the new season of Euphoria the prime April slot that Game of Thrones used to own. I initially thought the new DC show, Lanterns, would get that spot, especially since it was planned to come out before the Supergirl movie. But Lanterns has been pushed back to late summer now. I’m guessing HBO wanted Euphoria to drop in April so it would be eligible for the Emmys – the window for nominations closes at the end of May 2026. Euphoria‘s first two seasons were already nominated for Outstanding Drama in 2020 and 2022, so they’re clearly hoping for another shot!

The first season of Euphoria premiered on June 16, 2019, and ran for eight episodes, concluding on August 4, 2019. Between seasons one and two, two special episodes were released on December 6, 2020, and January 24, 2021. The second season debuted on January 9, 2022, and finished on February 27, 2022. By the time Season 3 arrives, it will have been over four years since the Season 2 finale and almost seven years since the show first aired on HBO. Because many of the main actors are working on other projects, Season 3 is widely anticipated to be the show’s last, although this hasn’t been officially confirmed.
