Elizabeth Olsen’s Avengers: Secret Wars Update Won’t Make Wanda Fans Happy

Elizabeth Olsen recently told fans there’s no news about Wanda Maximoff appearing in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars movie. She admitted she doesn’t currently have any information about the project or whether she’ll be involved, leaving her character’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe up in the air.

Elizabeth Olsen knows ‘nothing’ about Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars

As a big Wanda Maximoff fan, I was hoping to hear some news about Elizabeth Olsen reprising her role in future Avengers movies. But she recently said at a fan event that she’s completely in the dark! She literally said, “I know nothing. I know nothing about any of it.” It’s a little disappointing, but I guess it puts all the rumors about her being in Doomsday or Secret Wars to rest, at least for now.

Elizabeth Olsen shared that she hasn’t heard any news about the Vision Quest project. Although she recently saw Paul Bettany, she stressed she doesn’t know anything definite about what’s coming next. She jokingly wondered if Secret Wars is the next step, and admitted she’d even briefly thought there were two Secret Wars movies planned.

Even though she’s moved on, Olsen has indicated she’d be willing to reprise her role if the project was a good fit. She’s shared ideas for future storylines and emphasized that she’s looking for roles where she can really develop a character – something she’s consistently found with Marvel projects. Ultimately, she wants to contribute to a compelling story.

Elizabeth Olsen first joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a brief scene after the credits of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. She became a key character in several movies, and her role grew significantly with the WandaVision series, which showed Wanda’s journey to becoming the Scarlet Witch. Most recently, she appeared in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, where her character faced a more challenging and complex storyline.

Although Elizabeth Olsen hasn’t announced anything definite, she’s mentioned being particularly drawn to the House of M comic book arc. According to ScreenRant, she’s also eager to collaborate with Aubrey Plaza again, as Plaza was a guest star in the series Agatha All Along.
