It feels like just yesterday Spider-Man: Brand New Day finished filming, but it wrapped up recently, giving Zendaya and Tom Holland a chance to travel to the UK. Fans quickly noticed them around town over the weekend and this week, sparking curiosity about what their family Christmas celebration will be like.
After finishing work on the new Marvel film directed by Destin Daniel-Cretton, Tom Holland shared some photos of himself showing off his physique. He and his fiancée were then spotted having curry in Market Harborough. A few days later, they attended a live version of the show Traitors in the U.K. with his family. It’s fun to see these behind-the-scenes moments of the holiday season with Zendaya and Tom Holland, but Zendaya traveling to the UK wasn’t unexpected. Tom Holland actually talked last year about his family’s Christmas traditions and wanting to spend future holidays with Zendaya, who he’s now engaged to.
Tom Holland Thoughts On A “Holland Family Christmas“
Tom’s brother, Sam, is central to Christmas celebrations every year. Sam is a professional chef and has even shared recipes with Tom to impress Zendaya. He handles all the cooking and decorating for the family at Christmas, and Tom clearly admires his efforts.
Our Holland family Christmases are typically pretty low-key – just immediate family and whichever grandparents we’re visiting that year. My brother Sam is a chef, and he’s really good at it – he’s been working professionally for around five years now. Because of him, Christmas dinner gets better every year, and it’s something I always really look forward to.
He mentioned Sam’s cooking has really improved over time. However, he admitted he doesn’t offer much help in the kitchen. Luckily, his grandmother, Tess, does, and he raved about her delicious apple and rhubarb crumble, saying he absolutely loves it.
He mentioned in 2024 that he’d be celebrating Christmas with Zendaya’s family, so everyone assumed this year he’d be with his own family in the UK – his parents, siblings, and grandparents. But the real question this holiday season is whether the Spider-Man star finally got what he’d been hoping for and asked Zendaya about a year ago.
You know, instead of visiting each family separately every year, we’re thinking of getting everyone together for one big gathering next time. That’s the plan we’re leaning towards – it feels like a better way to connect with everyone!
Holland mentioned that he and Zendaya are both quite disorganized, which is why they haven’t managed to coordinate a Christmas together yet. It looks like it might just be a Holland family Christmas this year. Hopefully, they can figure something out that works for both families, as traveling across the Atlantic during the holidays is really challenging.
