The show, titled Maul: Shadow Lord, is an animated series set to premiere in 2026 and will follow the popular Star Wars villain after the events of The Clone Wars and the execution of Order 66. It will explore how Maul adapts to a galaxy drastically changed by these events.

So far, fans have only gotten a glimpse of the new series – a dramatic first logo and a quick look at a Dathomirian character wielding their iconic dual-bladed lightsaber. However, a trailer might be coming soon, as rumors are starting to spread about a possible first look at the Disney+ show.

A reliable source, Cryptic HD QUALITY, suggests the first trailer for Maul: Shadow Lord could be released very soon. They mentioned a surge of trailers expected in the coming weeks – including those for Supergirl and Avengers: Doomsday – and added they’ve heard whispers that an animated Star Wars trailer is finished and ready to be shown.

I might be mistaken, but it sounds like ‘Masters of the Universe’ could be released in January, along with a major trailer for a horror film. I’m also hearing that an animated Star Wars trailer – possibly featuring Maul – is nearly finished.

The upcoming Disney+ series, Maul: Shadow Lord, is scheduled to premiere in 2026. Sam Witwer, who has famously voiced Darth Maul for years, will reprise his role, exploring the character’s journey as he discovers that a galaxy free of the Jedi isn’t the paradise he imagined.

When Will the First Maul: Shadow Lord Trailer Drop?

Ever since it was first announced at Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo last year, fans have been anxiously waiting for the first trailer for Disney+’s Maul: Shadow Lord. While some details about the series have been revealed, we haven’t seen much footage from the show itself yet.
