Disney+ Announces Binge Release for Next Star Wars Show

The next Star Wars show coming to Disney+ will be released all at once, allowing viewers to watch all episodes immediately. Unlike some recent Disney+ shows that have been released gradually, Star Wars is letting fans binge-watch the entire four-episode series right away.

The next installment in the LEGO Star Wars series, *LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past*, will be available on Disney+ on September 19, 2025. All four episodes will be released at the same time. This follows the 2024 animated series, *LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy*.

Picking up where the first season left off, *Rebuild the Galaxy* is a *Star Wars* story that spans multiple universes. It follows Sig Greebling, a young adventurer played by Gaten Matarazzo (from *Stranger Things*), as he tries to restore the galaxy after altering its history. The sequel, coming in 2025, will introduce both new characters and familiar faces, including Darth Solitus, a villain who fights with a purple lightsaber (voiced by Dan Stevens), and the return of Darth Jar Jar, among others.

Similar to the 2024 release of *LEGO Star Wars: Pieces of the Past*, all episodes are available at once. This approach continues a trend for Star Wars on streaming, suggesting Lucasfilm might use this method for future Disney+ series as well.

What Other Star Wars Disney+ Shows Will Be a Binge Release?

Star Wars Visions Season 3

The third season of *Star Wars Visions*, Lucasfilm’s anime short film series based in the Star Wars galaxy, will also be released all at once on Disney+. As a big Star Wars fan, I’ve noticed something cool about how Lucasfilm releases their animated shows. They usually put out entire seasons all at once, so you can binge-watch everything right away! It hasn’t *always* been this way with every animated project, but it’s become pretty standard for their standalone series.

Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi

Lucasfilm revealed a new series connected to *Star Wars Visions* called *Star Wars: Visions Presents* at Star Wars Celebration 2025. The first installment, *The Ninth Jedi*, expands on an episode from the original *Star Wars: Visions* released in 2021. It will continue its story in *Visions* Volume 3 before the full spin-off series launches in 2026.

Because previous seasons of *Star Wars Visions* released all episodes at once, fans anticipate *The Ninth Jedi* will do the same when *Star Wars: Visions Presents* comes out next year.

Ahsoka Season 2

Fans are eagerly awaiting the second season of *Ahsoka*, one of the most popular Star Wars series on Disney+. A big question is how the new season will be released on the streaming platform.

Disney+ initially released the first two episodes of Season 1 at once, then switched to a weekly release schedule. Lucasfilm used this same approach with *Star Wars: Skeleton Crew* in late 2024. Although releasing episodes weekly usually keeps viewers more engaged, the *Ahsoka* Season 1 finale didn’t attract many viewers. This suggests Disney+ and Lucasfilm might be willing to try a different release strategy for Season 2 of *Ahsoka*.

Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord

Coming to Disney+ in 2026 is *Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord*, a new animated series from Lucasfilm. It’s a spin-off of *Star Wars: The Clone Wars* and will follow the story of Maul, a former Sith lord, during the time of the Galactic Empire.

It’s hard to say how *Shadow Lord* will be released because Lucasfilm hasn’t announced how many episodes it will have. However, it might follow a similar pattern to Season 3 of *Star Wars: The Bad Batch*, which sometimes released multiple episodes at once and other times released them weekly, depending on the story.
