DC Unveils First-Ever Display With Pattinson’s Batman & Corenswet’s Superman Together (Photos)

DC Studios recently showed off looks at David Corenswet as Superman and Robert Pattinson as Batman, getting fans excited about the possibility of them teaming up. Both actors are confirmed to return in sequels – Man of Tomorrow and The Batman: Part 2 – planned for 2027, with filming expected to begin in 2026. Although currently in separate universes, many fans are hoping Pattinson’s Batman will be part of the main DC Universe. However, it’s unlikely to happen, as DC Studios’ James Gunn is already searching for a different actor to play Batman.

Despite previous statements, fans are still eager to see Batman and Superman share the screen. This excitement was fueled by photos taken at Tokyo Comic-Con 2025 by TopMob’s Aeron Eclarinal. He captured a striking display from DC Studios featuring both Robert Pattinson as Batman and David Corenswet as Superman, sparking renewed hope for a team-up.

The exhibit included full-size statues of the actors David Corenswet and Robert Pattinson as their DC Comics characters, along with a wooden copy of the official DC logo.

As a huge fan, I have to say Robert Pattinson really embodies Batman. They’ve just released some incredible shots of his Batsuit from The Batman – it’s seriously detailed and looks amazing on screen. You can really see the work that went into it!

I’m really excited by this new look at Superman and Krypto! They look amazing and it seems like they’re getting ready for a big fight, according to the official display from DC Studios.

Some fans think this might be a hint that DC Studios is planning to bring its two biggest heroes together. However, James Gunn has repeatedly said that Matt Reeves’ Batman world will remain separate from the main DC Universe, so a crossover seems unlikely.

Marketing for Supergirl also began in Tokyo, Japan, following the reveal of the movie’s impressive logo on a large display at Tokyo Comic-Con.

Artist Acky Bright created a one-of-a-kind exhibit by drawing Supergirl live, with artwork from Tom King’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow displayed behind her.

James Gunn’s upcoming film, Man of Tomorrow, stars David Corenswet as Superman and hints at an unlikely alliance between him and Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor. They’ll be facing off against Brainiac, a villain whose appearance is expected to be a landmark moment for the DC Universe. The movie is scheduled for release in theaters on May 9, 2027.

I’m really excited to see Matt Reeves back directing the next chapter in Robert Pattinson’s Batman journey. This sequel promises to delve even deeper into Bruce Wayne’s psyche as he navigates a changed Gotham City. Mark your calendars, though – we’ll have to wait until October 1, 2027, to finally see it on the big screen.

Will David Corenswet’s Superman & Robert Pattinson’s Batman Ever Team Up?

It’s highly unlikely that David Corenswet’s Superman and Robert Pattinson’s Batman will appear together in the current DC Universe. Matt Reeves’ Batman films are very realistic and dark, which doesn’t align with the more fantastical, monster-and-alien-filled world being built in the main DCU.

These two characters could only realistically meet in a crossover event involving alternate universes. However, that’s likely a long way off, as Marvel Studios is already exploring similar concepts in its current films.

If DC Studios’ James Gunn decides to adapt the ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ story, David Corenswet’s Superman and Michael Patterson’s Batman will likely cross paths and ultimately join forces to protect the entire universe.

It’s a bit disappointing, but likely this public appearance is the only chance fans will have to see the Superman from the DC Universe and Batman from Matt Reeves’ films together.
