Daredevil won’t share any scenes with a new MCU character in Born Again Season 2.

The second season of Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again will be available on Disney+ next spring. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio are returning as Daredevil (Matt Murdock) and Kingpin (Wilson Fisk), continuing the story from the original Netflix series.

Matthew Lillard, famous for his roles in the Scream and Five Nights at Freddy’s movies, will be playing the villain, Mr. Charles, in the second season of Born Again.

According to Marvel’s Brad Winderbaum, the character is a fresh antagonist who significantly raises the stakes. He told Entertainment Weekly that the story centers around power, and when Wilson Fisk gains control of New York—not just as mayor, but as a dominant leader—he becomes a major international player. Matthew Lillard’s character embodies this new level of power.

Marvel fans eager to find out more about Mr. Charles won’t see him interacting with Charlie Cox’s character in the upcoming season of Born Again. Entertainment Weekly reports that the two won’t appear in any scenes together.

Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again features a large cast, including returning favorites like Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, alongside newcomers such as Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn and Michael Gandolfini as Daniel Blake. Other cast members include Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Ayelet Zurer, and Lili Taylor, in addition to Damian Lewis as Wilson Fisk, Charlie Cox, and Vincent D’Onofrio.
