Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays Kingpin in the Daredevil: Born Again series, thinks one of his fellow actors should be the next James Bond.
The James Bond film series is entering a new chapter with Amazon now in charge. Director Denis Villeneuve, known for his work on films like Arrival and Dune, will be directing the next Bond movie, marking a fresh start for the character. While fans have been eagerly speculating about who will play the next 007, reports suggest Villeneuve will begin searching for a new, relatively unknown actor—a “fresh face”—once he finishes working on Dune: Part Three.
Okay, so this is a fun one I stumbled across on X. A user noticed a striking resemblance between James Bond and Arty Froushan, who’s playing Buck in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again. They posted a side-by-side comparison of the two in suits, both aiming guns, with the caption ‘hear me out,’ and honestly, it’s pretty spot-on. But the really cool part? Vincent D’Onofrio, aka Wilson Fisk himself, simply replied, ‘I agree.’ The comments section exploded with people backing up the comparison, but a lot of fans are also throwing out other names for the next Bond – Henry Cavill, Theo James, and Nicholas Galitzine were all popular suggestions. It’s a fun little bit of casting speculation sparked by a keen-eyed fan and validated by the Kingpin himself!
Rumors about actor Charlie Cox potentially becoming the next James Bond have circulated before, dating back to last year when the first season of Daredevil: Born Again was released. Fans have noted that despite playing the villainous Wilson Fisk, Cox possesses qualities that could translate well to the iconic 007 role. His character is known for being sophisticated, calm under pressure, and has a distinctive British accent and demeanor – all traits often associated with Bond.
Fabian Froushan has been acting since 2016, but he’s recently become more recognizable for roles in popular shows like House of the Dragon, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, and Daredevil: Born Again, as well as Carnival Row. Although he doesn’t have the same level of fame as actors like Henry Cavill, Richard James, or Nicholas Galitzine, Froushan’s already established career might mean he doesn’t fit the profile of a newcomer for the next James Bond film.
Besides the actors already mentioned, many other names have been suggested as potential candidates for the new James Bond series on Amazon, including Idris Elba, Jacob Elordi, Harris Dickinson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Rege-Jean Page, Robert Pattinson, Fabien Frankel, Tom Holland, and Jack Lowden. Froushan is a less well-known actor than these stars, which could be an advantage if the producers are looking for a fresh face for the role.
Choosing the next James Bond is always a tough job, but the upcoming film and Amazon’s franchise face an extra challenge: following Daniel Craig. He was a popular Bond, starting with Casino Royale and continuing for 15 years through No Time to Die.
I’m really excited to see who Amazon casts as the next James Bond, and while we wait, it’s cool to keep an eye on potential contenders like Froushan. I’ll definitely be watching his work in the upcoming season of Daredevil: Born Again and also checking out his romantic comedy, The Love Hypothesis, to get a feel for what he brings to the screen.
