Daredevil Born Again Shares First Look At 5th Confirmed Villain

Marvel fans are getting their first glimpse of a brand new villain who will appear in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, set to premiere in 2026. As the show returns to Disney+ in March 2026, Marvel is gradually revealing details about the villains, including both returning characters and completely new faces within the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios has revealed a first glimpse of Lily Taylor’s character in Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. Entertainment Weekly shared a preview showing Taylor as New York Governor Marge McCaffrey, standing opposite Vincent D’Onofrio and Ayelet Zurer, who play Wilson and Vanessa Fisk, at a formal dinner. All three are dressed for a sophisticated event.

It’s still not fully known how big her part will be, but Rebecca Taylor is likely to play a villain in the upcoming season of Born Again, opposing Vincent D’Onofrio’s character, Wilson Fisk. The story will heavily feature Fisk’s time as Mayor of New York City, and Taylor’s character, Governor McCaffrey, is expected to have many scenes with him as he pursues his new goals.

Other Villains Returning in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

Kingpin

As expected, Vincent D’Onofrio will return as Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, in Season 2 of Born Again. He originally played the character throughout all three seasons of the Netflix Daredevil series and recently reprised the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with appearances in 2021’s Hawkeye and the 2024 series Echo.

In Season 2, Wilson Fisk will be more dangerous than ever. After becoming Mayor and imposing martial law on New York City, he’ll be relentlessly pursuing vigilantes like Daredevil and the Punisher, anyone who stands against his rule. This comes after his brutal act at the end of last season, where he killed the police commissioner.

Vanessa Fisk

After significant changes to the storyline and casting of Born Again, Ayelet Zurer is returning as Vanessa Fisk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She originally played Wilson Fisk’s wife in all three seasons of the Netflix series Daredevil and will rejoin the MCU in 2025.

In Season 1, Vanessa was revealed as a manipulative and dangerous villain, secretly orchestrating events that even led to an attempt on the life of Matt Murdock’s close friend and partner, Foggy Nelson. Although her role in Season 2 is currently a mystery, viewers anticipate she will be just as cold and violent as she was previously.

Bullseye

For the new series Born Again, Marvel has brought back Wilson Bethel to play Bullseye, Daredevil’s famous enemy. Bethel first appeared as Bullseye (real name Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter) in Season 3 of the Netflix series Daredevil, and now he’s returning to the role for Born Again.

After barely surviving an attempt on Wilson Fisk’s life at the end of Season 1, Bullseye is set to create even more trouble in Season 2. While previews suggest he’ll clash with Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil, it’s still unknown what’s driving his actions this season.

Mr. Charles

Matthew Lillard, known for his roles in Scooby-Doo and Scream, is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Daredevil: Born Again. While he’s been cast alongside Lily Taylor, Marvel hasn’t yet shared details about how big his part will be or how often he’ll appear.

Damian Lillard will play Mr. Charles, a powerful figure involved in international finance and diplomacy. Mr. Charles will be a key opponent to Wilson Fisk’s control of New York, challenging him through political maneuvering and global influence rather than physical strength.

The popular Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again is returning for a second season, continuing the story from the previous Netflix series. Charlie Cox will reprise his role as Daredevil, and Vincent D’Onofrio returns as Kingpin. This season will follow Matt Murdock as he’s forced to go on the run before eventually returning to New York to confront Fisk and his criminal empire. You can expect Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 to premiere on Disney+ in March 2026.
