Daredevil: Born Again Season 2’s Iron Fist Rumors Candidly Addressed By Star

Jessica Henwick has responded to speculation about whether her character, Colleen Wing, will be in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again.

Now that Krysten Ritter is returning as Jessica Jones in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, fans are wondering if characters from Iron Fist and Luke Cage might also appear. Besides the leads from those shows – Finn Jones as Iron Fist and Mike Colter as Luke Cage – there’s talk that Colleen Wing could be involved. She played a significant role in Iron Fist, was part of The Defenders team-up, and even made an appearance in Luke Cage.

I recently chatted with Jessica Henwick about her new film, How to Make a Killing, and naturally, I had to ask about Daredevil: Born Again. She cleared up any confusion – she won’t actually be in season two of the Disney+ show, despite visiting the set. But don’t be too disappointed! She had nothing but praise for Charlie Cox as Daredevil and hinted that those who loved the original Netflix series are in for a treat. I wasn’t involved in filming the new ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ series, but I visited the set and had a fantastic time. I can confidently say the season is going to be amazing! Seeing Charlie Cox back in the Daredevil suit was really special and brought back a lot of good memories – he’s perfect for the role. It’s a great show, and I think the fans, especially those who enjoyed the previous Netflix series, are going to love it.

The first season of Daredevil: Born Again concluded with Matt Murdock starting to gather allies to reclaim New York City from Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio). Given her past collaboration with Daredevil in The Defenders and her important role in the Marvel universe’s New York City, Colleen would have been a logical addition to this team. However, actress Jessica Henwick is not currently listed among the cast, suggesting she won’t appear unless her involvement is being kept secret.

Even though Colleen likely won’t appear soon, there’s still a chance Danny Rand (Iron Fist) and Luke Cage could return in season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. With Daredevil and Jessica Jones working together again, a full Defenders reunion feels more likely. The returns of Colleen, Iron Fist, or Luke Cage could happen in the already-renewed season 3 of Born Again, or perhaps in another Marvel project down the line.

Simone Henwick has suggested that fans of the Marvel Netflix shows will enjoy the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, and that aligns with the positive response to the first season. On Rotten Tomatoes, season one earned an 87% approval rating from critics and a 78% audience score, with many praising it as a seamless continuation of the original Daredevil series. The season also brings back familiar faces, including Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, and supporting characters like Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), the Punisher (Jon Bernthal), and Dex Poindexter (Wilson Bethel).
