Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Trailer Confirms 1 Major Death

Early previews of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 suggest a significant character death will be a key part of the story. Along with a fresh logo, the show promises an intense new season of action and drama for the Marvel Cinematic Universe when it returns in 2026, and it seems some of the main characters won’t survive the events.

In January 2026, Marvel Television debuted the trailer for Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. Around the 59-second mark, the trailer shows a large protest where people attempt to break through a barrier guarded by the Anti-Vigilante Task Force (AVTF). This NYPD unit was created by Mayor Wilson Fisk to stop masked vigilantes, including Daredevil, from operating in the city.

A small memorial is visible on the steps to the left, filled with items like flowers, cards, photos, and stuffed animals. Although we can’t tell who it’s for, the scene suggests a significant character will die before Season 2 ends.

Because the memorial is in such a visible location and has drawn a large crowd, it’s likely honoring someone famous or someone who died in a well-known tragedy.

The second season of Daredevil: Born Again continues the story of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), picking up where the first season left off. The new season, set to premiere on Disney+ on March 24, 2026, will show Daredevil building a team of allies as Fisk expands his control over New York City, having declared martial law previously.

Who Will Meet Their End in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2?

Given the protest’s location and scale, it seems likely Vanessa, Wilson Fisk’s wife, is in trouble and might be killed. After reconciling with Fisk in Season 1 following a relationship with and the death of Adam, her death could dramatically escalate the danger in New York, leaving Fisk still in power.

Season one had its share of intense moments, like Foggy Nelson’s death, but this current situation feels much bigger. With the Anti-Vigilante Task Force blocking off the area and keeping so many people away, it’s likely this event is connected to Fisk.

Okay, so even if the victim isn’t directly connected to Vanessa, I’m pretty sure whoever was killed has some link to Kingpin. It’s either someone within his inner circle – a political ally, maybe – or it could be this new character Matthew Lillard is playing. He seems like a major power player and could very well end up as an enemy of Fisk’s. It’s definitely something to watch for.

Even though many questions remain, get ready for a lot of exciting and dramatic events as the show’s villain starts to take control of New York City.
