The second season of Daredevil: Born Again recently launched on Disney+, and fans have been eagerly awaiting its arrival. Now that it’s out, audience scores are in, and the show currently has a 95% rating.

Season 2 of Born Again is proving to be a hit with audiences, earning a 95% rating on the Popcornmeter. That’s even higher than the overall audience score for season 1 and surpasses the ratings for all three seasons of Netflix’s Daredevil. While the Rotten Tomatoes score is still fluctuating as more viewers submit their ratings, it could potentially increase or decrease from its current level.
Why Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Is Received Well By Audiences
Fans loved Charlie Cox as Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin ever since they first appeared in 2015, so their return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2021 was a huge moment. When Daredevil: Born Again was announced, no one expected the significant changes that would happen during the show’s production, ultimately shaping the first season.
Early reactions to Daredevil: Born Again season 2 suggest viewers are responding positively to the creative direction. This season is the first led entirely by showrunner Dario Scardapane, who was able to develop a more cohesive and natural story without having to combine separate projects.
Fans really connected with the versions of Daredevil and Kingpin seen in the Netflix series, so it was surprising when Marvel Studios initially didn’t seem interested in acknowledging it with their new Daredevil: Born Again show. Now, the show is drawing more inspiration from the street-level, ‘Defenders’ side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and we’ll even see Jessica Jones return with Krysten Ritter reprising her role in the coming weeks.
Okay, so after watching the first episode of Daredevil: Born Again, I’m already feeling a lot more confident about this season. It feels much more like the Daredevil we know and love, and honestly, that’s probably why it’s getting such good scores on Rotten Tomatoes. But the real excitement, for me, is knowing this premiere was just the beginning. I’m really looking forward to seeing where they take the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen in the coming weeks!
New episodes of Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will be available on Disney+ starting March 31st. The first two episodes will drop on that date, and then one new episode will be released each Tuesday through May 5th.
