As a dedicated Marvel fan, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! The upcoming Marvel TV lineup just got even more intriguing as we anticipate the addition of a nine-episode season for Daredevil: Born Again. Mark your calendars for March 2026, when this highly-anticipated second season is set to premiere. Although an exact date hasn’t been confirmed yet, given that it’s just a year after the first season, we can hardly complain about the wait!

The news was announced directly by showrunner Dario Scardapane on his Instagram in April 2025, after the first season concluded. He claimed that Season 2 would be released in March of the following year. See the post below:

It’s not surprising anymore when I mention a new season from a TV show, but it has become the norm these days. Shows like “Stranger Things” Season 5 and HBO’s “Euphoria” Season 3 are examples of series that take years to produce their next seasons.

Initially, the creation of “Daredevil: Born Again” faced hurdles at the start, necessitating a complete overhaul of the storyline. Fortunately, all apprehensions have since been alleviated, and we can look forward to Season 2 premiering next year.

Anothe character we can expect to see again is Sergeant Brett Mahoney, played by Royce Johnson. The news was seemingly confirmed by fitness trainer Nagam Washington, who posted several pictures on Instagram, featuring the actor, celebrating the wrap of Season 2,

In addition to previously announced roles, a few new characters have been added. According to Deadline, Matthew Lillard has been given a role in Season 2, though the specifics of his character remain unknown. Similarly, Lili Taylor has also joined the cast, and details regarding her character are yet to be disclosed. Rumors suggest that she will portray an adversary for Fisk in the political arena.

After the exhilarating finale of “Daredevil: Born Again,” it leaves us wondering what’s next for Season 2. Here’s what we’ve learned so far:

Season 2 Is Going To Be A ‘Resistance Tale’ Against Kingpin

In the final scenes of “Daredevil: Born Again,” it was evident that Daredevil was assembling a team to combat the pervasive corruption in New York City, gradually dismantling it. The creator of the show, Aaron Moorhead, shared in an interview with THR that Season 2 will essentially follow this narrative – telling a story of resistance. In his own words:

From the tone it seems, Season 2 is shaping up to revolve around the emergence of a growing resistance movement. This sets the stage for the storyline, as Mayor Fisk has regained his position as the Kingpin and New York City is under his control. However, with the vigilante activities needing to operate covertly, we can expect an accelerated unraveling of events. Essentially, it’s a narrative about a resistance struggle.

I’m all for a bit of resistance in any upcoming Marvel project, so sign me up.

Bullseye Is Going To Have New Sides To His Personality In Season 2

As a movie enthusiast, I caught a brief glimpse of Bullseye in “Daredevil: Born Again,” a character who’s not just a ruthless psychopath but also a former FBI agent. However, it seems that Season 2 has some exciting surprises in store for us, as we’ll be delving deeper into the villain’s complexities. In an interview with Collider back in July 2025, Wilson Bethel hinted at unveiling “new facets” of Bullseye that have yet to be explored, promising a more nuanced portrayal in Season 2.

In the second season, you’ll encounter a fresh version of Dex, one we haven’t glimpsed before. I can hardly wait for audiences to lay eyes on him, and I’m eager to hear their reactions. This new season introduces aspects of his character that we haven’t explored before, and I can’t help but be excited for viewers to discover these hidden facets.

Oh, that makes me scared. But also excited.

Karen Is Going To Have Some Very Cool Scenes In Season 2

In the upcoming season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again,” Karen Page, along with Foggy and other characters, will reappear. Fans anticipating more screen time for Deborah Ann Woll in this series can look forward to their wishes coming true. Charlie Cox, in an interview with TV Line in May 2025, hinted that Karen’s character will have increased significance and will feature some exciting, superior scenes.

Some of what she’s doing now is some of the most impressive things she’s ever done. She’s really shining this season.

Filming On Season 2 Has Already Wrapped

It’s confirmed that the filming for Season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again” was wrapped up as of some point before July 2025, according to an announcement made by MCU Direct on X.

This is certainly something worth looking forward to! While there was always excitement before, it would be challenging to enjoy the upcoming episodes without them being completed first.

I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of Season 2, is it possible for March 2026 to come earlier? I feel like rewatching the entire first season before then.
