‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Has Already Started Filming Season 3 as First Set Photos Revealed

Things are buzzing in Hell’s Kitchen, especially with the upcoming premiere of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2! Just days before the season launches on Disney+, it’s been officially confirmed that the story of Matt Murdock will continue. While fans learned about a Season 3 renewal back in September – announced by Marvel Studios’ Brad Winderbaum – there was some concern about the show’s future, given the abrupt end of the original Netflix series. Now, audiences can rest assured that Daredevil’s journey will go on in the Disney+ era.

Good news for fans! Filming for the third season of Daredevil: Born Again has begun, even before the second season of the Marvel show premieres. Charlie Cox announced this during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, sharing that they had started shooting the night before.

Wow, yesterday was a long day! I finished filming around 7 PM, and it was all action – lots of fight scenes where my character gets hurt. I was covered in fake scars and blood. I flew here this morning and immediately headed to the hotel sauna, hoping to unwind. You won’t believe this, but a guy in the sauna saw me and was genuinely worried, asking if I was alright! I had to quickly explain it was all makeup and special effects. He still seemed a little unsure, but it was a pretty funny moment – definitely a sign of how realistic everything looked!

New photos leaked from the set of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 confirm that production is underway. While the pictures, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @captaincupkick and @_DaredevilShots, don’t reveal much about the plot, they show filming taking place on the streets of New York City. Though no actors were visible, details from one post suggest a club scene was being filmed, with extras cast as clubgoers, teens, and a bouncer (a bald white male between 5’11” and 6’1″).

The third season of Daredevil: Born Again is currently slated to arrive on Disney+ in March 2027, after Season 1 premieres in March 2025 and the current Season 2 concludes. While details about the plot are still secret, early reports indicate the new season will shift away from the political drama involving Mayor Fisk – a storyline that wraps up in Season 2 – and focus on more down-to-earth, street-level action. Charlie Cox recently appeared on a late-night talk show sporting a full beard, a noticeable change from his previous Marvel appearances, leading to speculation that Season 3 might be based on the “The Devil in Cell-Block D” comic storyline, which features Murdock spending a lot of time in prison.

This is a developing story…
