Crunchyroll Confirms The Beginning After the End Season 2 Release Date With New Trailer

I first discovered The Beginning After the End back when TurtleMe started releasing the novels in 2015, and I was immediately hooked! The series has grown so much since then – there are now twelve novels and a novella! But it doesn’t stop there! In 2018, Fuyuki23 began illustrating a webtoon adaptation, and it’s amazing! We’re already up to ten volumes of the webtoon, with more on the way – it’s a really exciting time to be a fan!

The anime adaptation of The Beginning of the End by Studio A-Cat first aired in 2018, bringing this popular fantasy series to a much larger audience. The story centers on King Grey, a seasoned and sometimes harsh ruler who unexpectedly dies and is reborn in the magical world of Dicathen. He’s reincarnated as Arthur Leywin, a child with magical abilities, and because he remembers everything from his previous life, he quickly becomes a powerful adventurer.

Season 2 of Crunchyroll’s The Beginning of the End follows Arthur as he trains to become an adventurer. The new trailer showcases Arthur and Jasmine Flamesworth battling powerful enemies with the help of some surprising allies. We also meet new characters Brald, Samantha, and Vio. Plus, fans get a short preview of the new opening theme song, ‘Sayonara janai hou ga ii,’ by SIX LOUNGE.

Fans of the original novel and webtoon series haven’t been thrilled with the anime adaptation, especially when it comes to the animation quality. Currently, it has a 3.8 out of 5-star rating on Crunchyroll and a 5.9 out of 10 on IMDb.

The creator of the series shared their excitement for Season 2, saying they can’t wait for viewers to continue following Arthur’s story. They described working with Crunchyroll, Tapas, and A-Cat as a valuable and challenging experience, and expressed hope that the team’s dedication will be evident in the new season. They encouraged fans to look out for updates.

The Beginning After the End Season 2 premieres on Crunchyroll on April 1.
