Coco is un poco loco, and Pixar wants more as the sequel, Coco 2, has been announced.
Released in 2017, Pixar’s Coco was a huge hit, earning over $814 million globally and winning two Academy Awards: Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for “Remember Me.” The film is also one of the highest-grossing movies ever made in Mexico, and it was praised for accurately portraying Mexican culture and traditions, particularly during the Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos).
Disney announced that a sequel to Coco is in the works with Pixar, nearly nine years after the original film came out.
