Christmas Exhibit Comes to Walt Disney Presents in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

For the 2025 holiday season, Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World is debuting a new Christmas exhibit. Located inside the “Walt Disney Presents” building – a walk-through museum – the “Disney Takes A Holiday” display will feature costumes and props from beloved Disney Christmas movies, including one originally made for the Disney+ streaming service.

What is Disney Takes A Holiday?

Walt Disney Presents is located in Hollywood Studios, right before you turn the corner to enter Toy Story Land.

This attraction offers a fascinating look at Disney history, featuring items like Walt Disney’s school desk, early Disneyland models, and even the mechanics behind the Abraham Lincoln animatronic.

At the end of the venue, you’ll find a small movie theater. Right before you enter, there’s a new “Disney Takes A Holiday” display. Guests can take photos in a charming, cartoon-style living room decorated for Christmas. Beyond the photo spot, windows showcase props and costumes from classic Disney holiday movies.

A Mostly Christmas Classic Films Display

The first window display features costumes and props from the popular Disney movie The Santa Clause, starring Tim Allen. You’ll see Santa’s red silk pajamas, Mrs. Claus’s coat, and outfits worn by the elf Bernard and Judy, the little elf known for her hot cocoa. The display also includes snow globes, a name tag belonging to the reindeer Comet, and some behind-the-scenes photos from the film.

The Disney film Babes in Toyland from 1961, featuring Annette Funicello, inspired the design of a new display cabinet. It includes interesting collectibles like miniature sets, a board game, a vinyl record, and a collection of photographs.

Disney brought the Muppets back to Hollywood Studios to celebrate The Muppet Christmas Carol. The display features Gonzo dressed as Charles Dickens, with a photo of him in costume, plus Rizzo the Rat’s outfit and a picture of Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit. Several other costumes and props are also part of the exhibit.

Finally, there’s the display promoting Disney+’s “Noelle.” This 2019 holiday film, starring Anna Kendrick, launched with the streaming service. While it only received a 56% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s a slightly unusual choice alongside the more traditional holiday favorites. The display features some costumes and props from the movie.

The Santa Meet and Greet

Walt Disney Presents is now featuring Santa Claus instead of Ariel (The Little Mermaid) for holiday meet-and-greets, as advertised on the outdoor sign as “Meet Friends For The Holidays.”

Santa Claus has a new location this year at Hollywood Studios! He’s moved from the Muppets Courtyard, which is now closed, and can now be found at Walt Disney Presents. This is a great chance for kids to meet Santa and share their Christmas wishes.

Holiday Short Film Fest

At the end of the park, the theater is currently showing three short holiday films for the 2025 season: “Walt Disney’s On Ice” featuring Mickey & Minnie, “Pluto’s Christmas Tree,” and “The Art of Skiing” with Goofy. It’s also a cool, spacious place to relax and take a break from a busy day at the park.

Walt Disney Presents offers a peaceful break from the busy parks, especially with ongoing construction. It’s a great spot for young children to meet Santa, watch festive Disney shorts, and see costumes and props from classic Disney Christmas movies. The exhibit also showcases interesting pieces from Disney’s history and previews of what’s coming to the parks. This year’s Christmas display will be available to enjoy through the end of 2025.
