The Lake County Commission in Central Florida recently made a controversial decision: they unanimously voted to rename Schofield Road as Charlie Kirk Memorial Highway. Schofield Road is located near Walt Disney World and is famous for bordering the “Hidden Mickey forest” – a large grove of pine trees planted in the early 1990s and designed to resemble Mickey Mouse when viewed from above. This unique landmark has become a Disney legend.
The contrast is stark. Disney, once a dominant force in family entertainment, is now facing declining popularity and numerous issues. Meanwhile, a road has been named in honor of Charlie Kirk, a well-known conservative figure who promotes traditional values and has gained a large national audience.
