Charlie Cox recently discussed joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Daredevil and teaming up with the New Avengers. He expressed his enthusiasm for the possibility and considered how his character, Matt Murdock, would interact with such a team.
Charlie Cox would love for Daredevil to be in the New Avengers
At GalaxyCon New Orleans 2025, the lead actor from ‘Treason’ discussed whether Daredevil might appear with the New Avengers in future Marvel movies.
I recently heard Charlie Cox talking about the possibility of Daredevil joining forces with other heroes, and it was fascinating. He really got into Matt Murdock’s head, explaining that his character is naturally a bit of a loner – he prefers to operate solo. Cox sees Murdock as someone who’d *think* about teaming up, but be hesitant, much like his dynamic with Frank Castle. But personally? Charlie Cox himself is totally up for it! He said he’d be incredibly excited to see Daredevil join a superhero group, and honestly, who can blame him? (Popverse shared this insight.)
The 42-year-old actor is currently filming the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, once again playing the main character. Filming started on February 28th and the show is temporarily known as ‘Out the Kitchen 2’.
Fans are eagerly awaiting Season 2, which showrunner Dario Scardapene has announced will arrive in March 2026. The season will star Michael Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, along with returning and new cast members including Margarita Levieva, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, and Arty Froushan.
Marvel Studios has renewed the series for a third season, and production is slated to begin next year, according to Brad Winderbaum, Head of TV and Streaming at Marvel Studios. He recently confirmed the renewal, stating that Season 3 is officially happening and will start filming next year. Details about the new season haven’t been released yet. (Source: IGN)
