Matthew Lillard starred as a member of the Mystery Gang alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr., and Linda Cardellini in the 2002 film Scooby-Doo and its 2004 sequel, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. The show originally began in 1969 as a comedy mystery called Mysteries Five, created by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears for Hanna-Barbera Productions, before evolving into the Scooby-Doo series we know today.

Sherlock Holmes has had a huge influence on detective shows, with many popular series either based directly on his adventures or clearly inspired by them. According to Deadline, Jonathan Majors will lead a new action movie from The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend, with filming starting this week in South Carolina. Kyle Rankin is directing and wrote the screenplay, though details about the plot and other actors are currently being kept secret. Sources say the story will have a similar feel to classic ’80s and ’90s action films like Red Dawn and Toy Soldiers, which featured groups of teenage boys fighting off invaders. Ben Shapiro of The Daily Wire and Dallas Sonnier of Bonfire Legend are producing the movie.

Ever since the first trailer for Season 2 of Apple TV+’s Monarch: Legacy of Monsters was released, the show has been hinting at the arrival of a powerful new monster called Titan X. This creature is being presented as a massive threat to humanity, on par with Godzilla and Kong. While its real name remains a secret, fans have been collecting clues and developing theories about what Titan X might be. Some think it could be Tiamat, the monster seen in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Others believe it might be Na Kika, a kraken-like creature for the Monsterverse. Even older Godzilla enemies are being considered, with Titan X’s appearance possibly resembling Biollante.

Karl Urban is adding Mortal Kombat 2 to his impressive list of franchise appearances. He’s already been a part of Xenaverse, The Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), The Boys, and the often-overlooked Dredd reboot. This variety demonstrates Urban’s ability to seamlessly fit into and enhance different cinematic worlds.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jake Gyllenhaal discussed what he’d like to see happen with his character, Mysterio, if he were to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s multiverse.

NBC rebooted the Australian series The Slap in 2015 with Uma Thurman, but the American version wasn’t appropriate for families. The show started with a seemingly minor incident—a parent lightly slapping a child—that quickly escalated into a surprisingly intense and disturbing story. Even well-established horror series sometimes can’t compete with the appeal of horror anthology comics. These comics offer a diverse range of unsettling, intense, and surprisingly humorous stories, often created by different artists and writers. Many of the most acclaimed and frightening collections of scary stories are ones that readers may be discovering now, or have previously avoided due to their intense nature.

As a moviegoer, I have to say Zack Snyder’s work at DC is hugely important to how their live-action universe developed. His films really defined the early days of what we knew as the DCEU, though they definitely weren’t without their critics. The whole situation with 2017’s Justice League was a mess, honestly. It felt like the film was taken out of Snyder’s hands and given to Joss Whedon to finish, which ultimately led to a lot of fan disappointment.

Several major superhero movies, including Avengers: Doomsday, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and Clayface, won’t be shown exclusively in IMAX theaters when they’re released in 2026. This is because IMAX has already committed those screen slots to other films through previous agreements.
