I’m so excited about the movies coming to Netflix this weekend! I think subscribers are going to be on the edge of their seats – there’s a really gripping murder mystery, a psychological thriller that’ll keep you guessing, and a fantastic superhero movie that deserves way more attention. It’s going to be a seriously good binge-watching weekend, trust me!
HBO Max recently shared a preview of season 3 of House of the Dragon, including footage in a 2026 release reel and accompanying still images. The stills offer glimpses of key moments and characters: James Norton as Ormund Hightower on the battlefield, Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) wearing her crown and looking somber, Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint) in combat, a burning skull, Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) comforting Aemond, and Alicent approaching Aemond while he’s seated on the Iron Throne.
As a huge TV fan, I have to say Severance is a phenomenon on Apple TV+. It’s been in their Top 10 for an incredible 651 days as of right now – almost two years! The only show that’s stuck around longer is Ted Lasso with 683 days. Now, Apple TV+ doesn’t release tons of new shows daily like Netflix or Prime Video, so it’s not a perfectly level playing field. But even so, for Severance to stay popular for this long, especially competing with other great sci-fi like Silo and Murderbot, is seriously impressive.
Okay, so Marvel’s got a ton of new characters coming up, and honestly, some of them feel like they’re being set up to be the next big heroes of the MCU. We’re talking about everything from younger heroes who are connected to the original Avengers, to completely new teams popping in from other universes to save their worlds. Over the next year, I’m really hyped to see which of these new superheroes really stand out!
