I generally don’t mind when movies change things from the books they’re based on. It’s really difficult to translate a story from a book to a film, and filmmakers often have to make adjustments. While I appreciate the effort Terry Gilliam and his team put into Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, I still don’t particularly enjoy the movie. Hunter S. Thompson’s writing is simply challenging to adapt for the screen.

Before Taylor Sheridan’s show captured the public’s attention, another series had already paved the way for this renewed interest in the genre.

Chapter 15 of JJK Modulo, called “The Forbidden Technique Unleashed,” really kicks off the fight between Yuka and Dabura, and it’s already an incredible showcase of magical abilities. Seeing Mahoraga’s Modulo in action for the first time, combined with the terrifying Cursed Technique Dabura reveals, makes this first chapter of the battle a huge win for Jujutsu Kaisen fans – though things aren’t looking so good for anyone living on Earth!
In Landman season 2, Landon Lofland plays Cooper Norris, the son of Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton). A disturbing relationship develops between Cooper and cartel leader Gallino (Andy Garcia), and Cooper remains largely unaware of just how involved Gallino is in criminal activity.
The episode ended with the Soprano family at a restaurant. Tony nervously scanned the room, worried someone might be there to kill him. Just as Meadow arrived and walked in, Tony looked up, and the screen suddenly went black, leaving his fate unknown.
Let’s talk about Tracy McLusky’s shocking death on the show. I was really struck by how brutally it played out, orchestrated by Merle Callahan’s thugs after Kyle rejected his offer. It was a tough scene, no doubt. But amidst all the darkness, there was a small ray of hope: little Mitch, Tracy and Kyle’s baby, actually survived. That little detail definitely offered some comfort, even as we were reeling from Tracy’s loss. It sets up a lot for the story going forward, and I’m curious to see how Kyle will cope with protecting his son now.
The 1990s offered a fantastic range of TV shows for kids, including cartoons, live-action series, and even spooky shows designed for younger audiences. Many of these shows remain enjoyable to watch even today, appealing to both kids and adults.
HBO consistently hires top-notch professionals and maintains high standards across all roles. They also craft shows that deeply connect viewers with the characters’ feelings. While many HBO series are praised for this, one true-story miniseries, in particular, hasn’t received as much attention as it deserves.
