Rick Deckard, played by Ford, is a Blade Runner – a special police officer tasked with tracking down and eliminating rogue Replicants who have escaped to Earth. When a group of four to six Replicants break free in Los Angeles, Deckard is called upon to hunt them down. Amidst thrilling chases, futuristic technology, and a rain-soaked, neon-lit city, the film explores questions of morality. While Blade Runner is a classic of science fiction, some elements haven’t held up well after 43 years.

The first trailer for the 2026 Supergirl movie shows Krypto making a return appearance. Fans will remember Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, who briefly appeared at the end of Superman to collect her dog. The new trailer features Krypto joining Kara for her 23rd birthday, but also hints at trouble, with a shot of Kara crying as Krypto appears to be in danger in the Supergirl film.

As a huge Marvel fan, I’m keeping a close eye on everything happening in the MCU. We’re currently in what they call Phase Six, and it’s all building towards the big ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ movie in 2027. After that, though, everyone’s predicting a major shift. While Marvel hasn’t officially said anything yet, it seems almost certain that Phase Seven will really dive into the world of mutants and the X-Men, which is incredibly exciting!

The ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home hinted at the possible introduction of the Black Suit Spider-Man. A small amount of the Symbiote – the alien substance linked to Venom, as seen with Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock – was left behind, suggesting a future storyline in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While there’s been talk that this could lead to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man wearing the famous black suit in Spider-Man 4, it’s still uncertain if that will happen.

Martin Scorsese is another highly respected director (with a longer career), famous for grand crime films like Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, The Wolf of Wall Street, and The Irishman. He won an Academy Award for directing The Departed in 2007, and a positive review from him is a huge boost for any new movie.

The story centers around the Sea Devils, now known as Homo aqua, emerging from the ocean to claim the seas as their own. This builds on a concept introduced during the Third Doctor’s adventures – the idea that the Silurians and Homo aqua were Earth’s original inhabitants, living here long before humans and then entering a long sleep. That original idea is now really paying off in this new story.

Tracy Morgan, the beloved comedian, leads the cast of the new series The Rise and Fall of Reggie Dinkins, alongside Erika Alexander and Bobby Moynihan. The show reunites the team behind 30 Rock, including Morgan, Carlock, Means, and executive producer Tina Fey. According to Carlock, the character of Reggie Dinkins is essentially Tracy Morgan himself – a naturally funny, former athlete with good intentions.

According to showrunner Eric Robles, the story developed from unanswered questions left after Eleven closed the gate to the Upside Down at the end of Stranger Things season 2. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Robles explained that the new storyline explores what happens when the science of Hawkins Lab interacts with material from the Upside Down, causing a ripple effect that impacts the creatures and phenomena in our world.

The actor became part of the Fast & Furious series with Fast X in 2023 and is set to reprise his role in the upcoming Fast X: Part Two. He also signed on for a new Navy SEAL movie in September 2025. Recently, the film added Peaky Blinders actor Joe Cole to its cast.

As a huge cinema fan, I’ve always admired Grant Morrison’s work – they’re the minds behind incredible graphic novels like Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth and Wonder Woman: Earth One, and of course, their legendary run on Batman. But honestly, one of their more recent films, released in 2017, didn’t get the recognition it deserved, which is a real shame.
