Apple TV+ has confirmed that Slow Horses will be back for a second season. The show launched on October 29th with two episodes and finished its first season on December 10th. It quickly became popular with viewers, so Apple TV+ renewed it without delay.
Netflix has renewed the series Berlin for another season, but quietly canceled Billionaires’ Bunker (originally titled El refugio atómico) in Spain, according to Spanish news source El País. The show centered around a group of wealthy individuals seeking shelter in a high-tech bunker during World War III. However, old conflicts between two families within the bunker threatened to disrupt their survival.
I recently checked out this action thriller, also known as Nomis, and it was a surprisingly gritty watch. Henry Cavill plays Walter Marshall, a detective who’s completely dedicated to his job – and not afraid to bend the rules to catch a slippery serial killer. It’s a really different role for him, ditching that polished Superman image for a much more rough-around-the-edges, world-weary look. He definitely uses his presence to get what he needs, and it’s fun to see him play a character who isn’t a traditional hero.
Directed by Andy Serkis, known for his work on The Lord of the Rings, the new animated film Animal Farm boasts a star-studded voice cast including Seth Rogen, Glenn Close, Woody Harrelson, Kieran Culkin, Gaten Matarazzo, Laverne Cox, Jim Parsons, Kathleen Turner, Iman Vellani, and Serkis himself. I’ve seen Vanity Fair do this with actors for ages, and recently Amanda Seyfried and Sydney from The Housemaid took the bait. Darth Maul, a notorious villain from the Star Wars universe, will be returning next year in a new animated series called Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord. Before the series begins, Marvel Comics will release a five-issue comic book prequel, STAR WARS: SHADOW OF MAUL, to set the stage. The comic is written by Benjamin Percy, who previously worked on a Star Wars comic featuring Darth Maul, and illustrated by Madibek Musabekov, known for his work on Star Wars: Jedi Knights. According to Marvel, this is a new way to experience the character’s story.

He recently shared at a Warner Bros. event that the latest movie’s performance proves people are still really into these spooky stories and the world they’ve built. Sounds like we can expect more scares in the future!

With a strong promotional push, you’ve probably heard of at least one of Timothée Chalamet’s new films: Marty Supreme, an A24 movie about table tennis that’s making him a frontrunner for Best Actor. He also stars in Anaconda, a clever reimagining of the 1997 film with Jack Black and Paul Rudd, and Song Sung Blue, a musical biopic about a Neil Diamond impersonator. While Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson are hoping for awards attention for the latter, early indicators suggest the box office competition between these three movies is already decided.
HBO recently shared a preview of its 2026 lineup, and confirmed that season two of Dune: Prophecy will premiere next year. The video shows Valya Harkonnen on the planet Arrakis at the 1:33 mark, walking towards a group wearing golden robes, seemingly at a Fremen settlement. You can watch the clip below.
