First Reaction – Crawler is a silly but entertaining horror.

A new book, Superman: The Art and Making of the Film, reveals that David Corenswet’s Superman has already been to multiple planets within the DC Universe before the 2025 movie begins. According to the film’s production designer, Beth Mickle, Superman keeps a collection of alien species – essentially a “zoo of aliens” – at his Fortress of Solitude. He’s gathered these creatures from different planets for study.

Over the years, many X-Men teams haven’t reached their full potential. This was often because the lineups were temporary or thrown together quickly, and included members who weren’t at their strongest. Even when powerful mutants are facing personal challenges, it can lead to weaker teams overall, especially when they’re assembled to deal with immediate crises.

In 1970, a three-astronaut mission launched to the moon with the goal of improving upon earlier trips. Almost immediately, things started to go wrong, and after just two days, the crew’s life support systems began to malfunction. The film based on this real event was a thrilling story of overcoming the immense dangers of space. While captivating, this wasn’t the only movie about space that captured the public’s imagination.

Macaulay Culkin and director Christopher Columbus recently gathered at the Academy Museum to mark the 35th anniversary of Home Alone. Culkin shared with The Hollywood Reporter that he’s deliberately kept the fact that he starred in the film a secret from his children, and has even tried to prevent them from discovering it. He went on to explain how he’s been doing this.

Only seven films ever made have earned over $2 billion worldwide. Remarkably, James Cameron directed three of them: Titanic (1997, $2.26 billion), Avatar (2009, $2.92 billion), and Avatar: The Way of Water (2022, $2.34 billion). Cameron recently responded to criticism about dedicating thirty years to the Avatar series.

Laura Dern is scheduled to appear in three films in 2025, either in supporting roles or with brief cameos. Her latest project is the dramedy Is This Thing On?, directed by Bradley Cooper and starring Will Arnett. In a recent interview with TopMob, Dern and Arnett discussed the film, and Dern explained her thoughtful approach to selecting roles, offering a perspective that perfectly suits her personality.

Netflix has assured everyone that Warner Bros. Discovery won’t be making significant changes to its staff after the acquisition is finalized. According to Netflix, both companies will continue operating separately, with their existing teams in place. Netflix highlighted its own contributions to job creation and the U.S. economy, and expressed optimism about achieving even greater results with Warner Bros. Discovery as part of the same organization.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, James Cameron described Fire and Ash as a turning point for both the Avatar series and his own career. Although the movie is expected to perform well domestically, current projections suggest it may be the lowest-grossing film in the Avatar franchise, even with an opening weekend of around $100 million.
