Clint Eastwood delivers a haunting performance as William Munny, a retired gunslinger pulled back into his violent past by a young man, The Schofield Kid. The film, set in the harsh landscape of 1880s Wyoming, follows Munny and his old partner, Ned Logan (Morgan Freeman), as they pursue a bounty – a quest born from an act of violence against a woman. What starts as a simple job quickly spirals into a tense showdown with the formidable Sheriff “Little Bill” Daggett (Gene Hackman), revealing a truly ruthless side to law and order.

With a production cost of $350 million, Fire and Ash needs to earn over $1 billion to be considered successful, but early signs are good as audiences are turning out in large numbers. The previous two films in the series both surpassed $1 billion, suggesting this one will too. However, Fire and Ash could end a 16-year run of the franchise dominating the box office. While Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water were the highest-grossing films in 2009 and 2022, Fire and Ash may not reach that level of success in 2025.

DC Comics has a history of teaming up its most famous heroes and villains with characters from other comic book publishers, like Image, Dark Horse, and IDW. These collaborations, ranging from graphic novels in the 1990s to much-anticipated crossovers, are considered some of the best standalone stories DC has ever created.

Two of the top games of 2025, ENA: Dream BBQ and Bongo Cat, are now available to play for free! They were ranked #4 and #5 on Steam’s list of the year’s best games, so now everyone can enjoy them.

While many films are getting attention right now, a fantastic movie called No Other Choice could easily be overlooked. Directed by Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook, it started showing in limited release on Christmas Day and will become more widely available in the US throughout January. Despite receiving excellent reviews and awards buzz – it has a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes – it seems to be flying under the radar, which would be unfortunate. Many critics believe it’s one of the best films of 2025.

I watched a lot of romance movies last year – around 20 in total! I especially loved films like We Live In Time, Lisa Frankenstein, and Challengers. I mentioned before that my favorite romances often break the mold for the genre, and this year’s picks are a bit more traditionally romantic – and there are even more of them, which is great! Let’s dive into my favorites.

Throughout the first season of Landman, Tommy, Cami, and the rest of the cast have been focused on an offshore gas rig. After a hurricane destroyed it, Monty secretly kept the insurance payout before his death. This left M-Tex responsible for the repairs, but they struggled to find the funds quickly enough. However, episode 7 of Landman season 2 dramatically shifted the circumstances.

Gal Gadot’s movie Heart of Stone was just okay, and Back in Action was enjoyable but didn’t leave a lasting impression. Netflix has seen more success with spy-themed TV shows, like the popular hits The Night Agent and Black Doves.

This crime thriller first appeared on TNT in 2018, but has been available on HBO Max for a while now. However, starting January 8, 2026, the show—which has two seasons and 18 episodes—will no longer be available on HBO Max and will need to find a new streaming platform.

A rating for Splatoon 3 on a new Nintendo Switch 2 console recently appeared on PEGI (the rating was PEGI 7). This is a bit confusing because an update for Splatoon 3 already came out on the current Switch on June 12, 2025. Adding to the mystery, PEGI lists the release date as today, December 31, 2025. So far, however, no new version of Splatoon 3 has been released or even announced.
