Marvel is currently finishing up work on Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. The film is scheduled to hit US theaters later this year, and a follow-up movie, Avengers: Secret Wars, is planned for release in 2027.
As a huge Marvel fan, I was so excited to finally see the fourth trailer for Avengers: Doomsday in theaters! It gave us our first real look at the updated suits for Shuri and Namor. What really stood out to me was the redesigns – Shuri’s new Black Panther suit has these cool blue highlights, and Namor’s suit now incorporates black detailing. It’s a subtle change, but it really adds to their look!

Now, Marvel is starting to reveal what the story holds for the Fantastic Four and the Wakandans.
The live-action remake of Tangled has cast its stars: Teagan Croft (known from Titans) will play Rapunzel, and Milo Manheim (Zombies) will play the charming thief Flynn Rider, who is actually named Eugene Fitzherbert. The film will be directed by Michael Gracey, who previously directed The Greatest Showman. The casting announcement was made on January 7th.
On the latest episode of The Hot Mic podcast, Jeff Sneider revealed details about the upcoming Batman sequel. He stated it’s widely known that actor Brendan Fraser was cast as Harvey Dent, and that he’d previously heard Fraser’s character’s wife would actually have a more significant part in the film than Harvey himself.
Sadie Sink was a key part of Stranger Things for most of the show, appearing as Max Mayfield in four out of five seasons. However, her character’s mother, Susan Hargrove, played by Jennifer Marshall, had a much smaller role. Marshall only appeared in a few episodes across seasons 2 and 4, and wasn’t in the final season at all. Given all the challenges Max faced in the show’s last season, Marshall jokingly addressed why Susan wasn’t around.
The TV show 9-1-1 kicked off its ninth season on Thursday nights in 2026 with a particularly memorable episode. This led many viewers, including myself, to wonder if a romantic relationship between Buck and Eddie might ever happen. Oliver Stark recently addressed that possibility directly.

The show Heated Rivalry, based on Rachel Reid’s novels, has resonated with viewers, largely due to the work of Jared Tierney, who brought it to the screen. Tierney is a versatile talent – an actor, writer, producer, and director – and many will recognize him from his role in Nickelodeon’s Are You Afraid of the Dark?. Before Heated Rivalry, though, he was best known as the co-creator of the popular Canadian comedy Letterkenny.
Let’s be real, not every Stephen King adaptation is a winner. For every Shining or Shawshank, you get a Dreamcatcher, the recent Salem’s Lot, or that surprisingly flat take on The Dark Tower from a few years back. And King himself even directed Maximum Overdrive – a film that’s become infamous, though it does have a dedicated cult following. Some, like the 2022 Firestarter and The Lawnmower Man (which King has publicly disowned, by the way), are just…not good. But the biggest disappointment? King inadvertently became the inspiration for one of the most critically-panned franchises ever. Viewers pretty much knew it all along, but critics have confirmed it: not a single Children of the Corn movie has managed to earn truly positive reviews. It’s a tough track record, even for a master of horror.
