According to FlixPatrol, Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar is currently popular on streaming services in several countries. It’s a top 10 movie on HBO Max in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania (all at #6), and even higher in Spain at #3. In the UK, where it’s on Amazon Prime, the film debuted at #8. Surprisingly, Interstellar is also gaining traction in the U.S., appearing at #6 on the iTunes rental charts, despite not being available on major U.S. streaming platforms. This sudden surge in popularity demonstrates that audiences are still very interested in the film, even years after its release.

The popular ABC series revolved around the people of Storybrooke, Maine, a town where magic didn’t exist. This was due to a powerful curse from The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) that made fairytale characters forget who they really were. Ginnifer Goodwin, 47, played two roles: Snow White and Mary Margaret Blanchard, a quiet schoolteacher in Storybrooke. Mary Margaret didn’t initially realize she was actually the wife of Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) and the mother of Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), who was destined to break the curse.

Clint Bentley, who recently earned an Academy Award nomination for “Sing Sing”, directs and co-writes (with Greg Kwedar) “Train Dreams”. This film is based on an acclaimed novella by Denis Johnson, which originally appeared as a short story in The Paris Review back in 2002. Bentley skillfully brings Johnson’s poignant story to life, creating what many are calling one of the best films of the year.

I recently read a fascinating interview with Mike Hill, the creature designer and prosthetics head on Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein. He talked about just how challenging it was to create a fresh take on the monster.
