I’ve been thinking about this show’s popularity, and it really highlights how captivating Stephen King’s stories still are on screen. It reminded me of something fascinating: Mike Flanagan, who’s done some amazing work adapting King – his Doctor Sleep was fantastic – actually pitched a spin-off idea focusing on the character Hallorann. Sadly, it never got made, but with the current buzz around this new horror hit on HBO, now feels like the perfect moment to revisit that concept. It’s a story ripe for exploration, and I’d love to see it happen!

Prime Video’s fantasy shows are particularly impressive because of their incredible diversity. Some series create entirely new worlds based on mythology and ancient stories, while others mix fantasy with elements of science fiction, historical settings, or realistic character dramas. This approach lets Prime Video explore the genre in many different ways, offering viewers unique and exciting fantastical experiences.

As the emotional core of Penny Dreadful, it’s no wonder fans still feel deeply affected by her death years later. Over three seasons, viewers connected with her triumphs and hardships. Her internal conflicts were very relatable, and while her death was heartbreaking, it felt like a natural conclusion to her story.

The first two Avatar films featured Jake Sully narrating, giving the audience his perspective on Pandora and the Na’vi before he fully joined their world. However, for the upcoming film, Fire and Ash, director James Cameron has shared with Fandango that Lo’ak, Jake’s son, will now be the narrator. Cameron indicated that he carefully considered this change in perspective.
